Still trying to sort out me digs. Life was a lot easier before @spikeyfridge stole my cheap room!!  I can afford one of the places Roscopecotrain suggested but it's a few miles away and I'm not sure what time the last stagecoach leaves. May well be kipping in my car. |

Lots of new mod ideas so I have to raise some funds. I'm selling this at cost, £20 plus £3 P+P (Small parcel, 1st class) It's not perfect and there's a scratch on the battery cover. New 1150mAh phone battery @3.7v. Mini USB charging board. 510 connector in AE socket. Tactile switch behind hook (red) button to fire. 'Charging' (red) and 'charged' (blue) LED's show through screen. Comes complete with a couple of spare cartos and mini USB charging lead. 
I've scoured the internet and can't find anything like it so it's a bargain price for the original and only GSM mobile phone mod. Thanks for looking. |

Roscopecotrain, if you aren't a fan of metal drip tips you can always heat shrink them. If you get 3 to 1 it should fit over the whole tip nice and snug. You can even get it in clear if you like the look but not the feel of the metal.

Inspired by those working offshore and all the restrictions they face ,etc. I had a moment of clarity last night and started work on this. The GSM(od) Mobile Phone. Based on an Ericsson A2828s handset and incorporating: New 1150mAh phone battery @3.7v. Mini USB charging board. 510 connector in AE socket. Tactile switch behind hook (red) button to fire. 'Charging' (red) and 'charged' (blue) LED's show through screen. Looks even better with a standard carto but I only had a black one in XL. It's very stealth in use with no lights showing, looks just like a turned off mobile phone  
I wish I had found one without a scratch on the battery cover but maybe that makes it look even more unassuming? |

Search eBay UK for 'Tactile Switch' and you will find thousands for £1.50 or less.
Check the dimensions and you are good to go.
I haven't found any quite as cheaply made as the eGo tactile but there are many direct replacements.
