I agree it's a great idea but the points raised are valid.
The most successful campaigns use bold headlines and very short punchy statements. I think it would be better if you had the headline and one or two lines of text. How about multiple ad's with identical formatting, each with a different headline and split the message between them. I only read it to the end because I already have an interest in the message, I usually ignore ad's like this.

keepitgoin the O ring you want is 2mm x 1mm Nitrile, its tiny and strong as an ox! You need a way to spread it with about 10lbs of force so it will fit over the pin. I usually de-solder the pin, fit O ring from back and then re solder. You can dry fit them if you have cranked needle point tweezers or similar.

I've had a similar problem with my MVP2 and a "Dropping" centre pin raid2506, if I take the teeny tiny screws/hex bolts out of the top can I then see what the problem is?? (If anyone knows where I left my glasses..... again!) I know there are pretty small/tiny wires and gizmos inside, but where would I be looking?? The problem is invariably a 'one size fits all' design of the centre pin. It fits most but you get the odd atty which just isn't happy. On older mods or those which have been shown a heavy hand the grommet can deform allowing the pin to sit low and not make contact. An O ring mod will usually solve both of these problems. There is no advantage to taking the top off the MVP in this situation, any inspection or corrective work can be done from outside.

jacquif, lifting the centre pin is a good test for connectivity issues. That will tell you whether there is a gap between the contacts but not actually fix the underlying problem. A longer term but not permanent solution is to withdraw the centre pin and apply some solder, that should see you right for several months. The best fix is to replace the grommet, my preference is to use heat shrink and an 'O' ring, it's pretty much indestructible. There are several people on here who can do the repair for you including myself, don't be afraid to ask.

Nice simple solution.
I've repaired a couple of these, one with solder and the other by brazing.
Let us know how the glue method works out, it could be the way ahead.

Hello and welcome Rumdog, Nice intro post and good luck on your vaping journey. Look after that starter kit, they are simple and they work. When all else fails and you are puling your hair out it will be there waiting in the wings. It's better to have a basic vape than a dirty stinky!

There's a tiny Mosfet on the circuit board which is prone to failure and it sounds like that is your problem.
It is the main 'switch' in the charge/discharge circuit.
Usual practice is to swap out the board with a donor.
I should have a spare board I can send if you want to tackle it yourself, otherwise I can do it for you. It'll only cost you postage.

Ahhh... the humble Reef knot.
That video takes me back to my days as an apprentice, splicing 20 pair cables in inspection chambers waist deep in water.
This method of joining current carrying cables has been in use for about 100 years!

I have done a few Vamo cap re-bores DiscoDes, takes about 40 minutes to do it right. You are left with a brass coloured inner face to the cap but you will be able to use eVods on your Vamo. I can't offer to do it under my free repairs program though as it's a mod rather than repair. Happy to sort yours out if you want them doing
