I like having the kids come home, but my eldest has recently moved to Aus, so it'll be a bit quieter this year. Mind you my middle one can make enough noise for 10 people lol

Oh dear, I've just been "brewing" mine opened on the mantelpiece in the hope I could speed up things. I hope I haven't ruined it

I'm afraid I'm with Jason and Blakey My mother died the end of November 35 years ago. My brother on December 23rd in 98 my father inlaw on December 21st 7 years ago and this year my beloved step mum died a couple of months ago.
In fact, just to make sure everyone feels like slitting their wrists, everything bad seems to happen at this time of year, although for the past two years its been pretty constant. Last year we had a psycho to stay and this year started with my beloved dog dying. It's been bloody awful.

I completely agree Karma. I'm surprised they aren't blaming one of the mental illnesses which are more normally "picked on". I read that this lads mother was one of those survivalists and had a house full of guns and prepared her kids for Armageddon. One has to wonder what this lad went through for him to explode so badly. It seems to always be young men who commit these crimes. It's all so terribly tragic

Shame Paula hasn't added a pic of it yet. Yep I'd love to take a look at it. If I'd seen it a while back I might have been able to persuade hubby that I needed one for chrimble. But at this late stage its touch and go at affording all the food we'll need for everyone! Oh my though, I bet its shiny and a girl can dream
