Save your money and just get the kanger airflow controller. It'll turn you pt2 into a hybrid aerotank and it'll save you splurging out on new coils. Once you're comfortable it's well worth recoiling them and rewick ing with cotton. There's a great guide on here and it'll save you money as well as getting a better vape. I do have one. It's just that I seem to suffer from a lot of gurgling issues lately, with juice in the airflow controller. Now it could be the coils, but it seems that dual coils are the way forward.

Do you make your own coils? Nope, that's the dark arts Buy both . . . it's the only way to be certain you've made the right decision doctorjellybean. There is that!

I'm considering replacing the Protank 2 with either an Aspire Nautilus or Kanger Aerotank. Which do you recommend? Any others?

If you are worried i would try a dual coil clearomiser then. The new mow tanks are good and the aerotank or something from aspire. Oooooo Aspire do vertical coil heads which are a single coil but give a great vape i have heard. Not sure what tank they are in though. Maybe the nautilus mini and nautilus. I'm not worried, just know very little about it As long as I can replace coils when needed, fill up, screw on to my iTaste, then I'm happy.

I've been using a Protank 2 with single coils for some time now. Maybe it is time to try a different tank, but they seem to be be dual coils. Aeros, Mini Protank 3, etc. Go for it. Dual coils rock in a clearo. Or you go down the route of the the subtank or joyetech delta 2 and then you have dual coils or a rebuildable head if you want a single coil. That was the first time I heard of the Subtank, had too Google it LOL. It looks and sounds good. Some of the reviews on here do mention leaking though? Will a Subtank work with my iTaste 134? The coils are two resistances only, 0.5ohm and 1.2ohm. Which should I go for? My current single coils are 2.2ohm ..... big difference.

Airflow has a big effect on wicking, and it sounds like a wicking issue. A long slow gentle draw and a wide open airflow will result in less juice wicking to your coil. Experiment with how you puff, it can make all the difference. Thanks, will try that. Airflow is always wide open. Is it juice you're mopping up or condensate? I ask because condensation is a continual problem, no matter what kit you buy. ETA: Ironically, the more you vape the less condensation you get. Def mopping up. I've actually never noticed condensation, until last night when I checked. Nautilus Mini for me. I have a lot of them and not a single leak in several months use. When they sometimes gurgle I use a tip given on the forum. Sorry I can't remember who it was to give credit to. Take tank off device, wrap in kitchen roll or tissue, shake vigorously several times. You'll find a wet patch on the paper. Refit tank and gurgle free vape. Sounds good, I'll try that too. Thanks.

It seems that I'm suffering quite a lot from leaking/gurgling problems lately. I don't want to exaggerate, but it feels like I'm drying out the bottom of the air controller/Protank mouthpiece on a daily basis. I even changed the coils in case the seals were knackered. I basically vape all day/night long, so it does take a fair beating.
My kit is an Innokin iTaste 134 with a Protank 2 screwed on a air controller.

doctorjellybean why not add an actual poll to this thread You can do so by clicking on edit in your opening post & then clicking on the add poll tab Thanks Chrissie. I did look for the poll option when I created the post, didn't realize how it's done. Think I made a bit of a mess it now lol

I've been wondering how many vapers still smoke, so I thought I do a poll As for myself, I haven't smoked a rollie since the first day. That's not to say that I haven't been tempted tho .....

Why not buy a small quantity of lower nic to see if it helps? If it does, you can invest in more - you can buy the right quantity to mix with what you currently have to make it go further (for example, 10ml 12mg + 10ml 24mg = 20ml of 18mg). That way you're not going to waste anything. If you are concerned about it, it's surely worth the small investment needed to find out - you can't put a price on your health. Thanks! It is something I didn't think of. I'm wondering if the mix could be a contributing factor. My current e liquid is 80% PG (Propylene Glycol) / 20% VG (Vegetable Glycerin).

I'm suspecting that my current e liquid is a bit too strong (24mg) as I am experiencing a lot of dizziness lately. I've had it checked out at the doctor, brain scan, etc. Nothing showed up. Therefore I'm thinking that it is either the e liquid or coffee or combination of both.
Is there an easy way to reduce the strength? I don't want to buy a lower strength and then find out it is not that.

doctorjellybean, it's not Dekang and it's only 6mg nic, but I've got a near full 30ml bottle of LT ecigs Winstone liquid I got in a bargain bundle, that's heading for the sink unless you want it? Free. Rather than waste it. I was going to throw it and reuse the bottle. I did try one tobacco flavour - VA Blend - I thought it was disgusting though it was my first and only try at the tobacco ones. I think its still lying around somewhere - 12 mg strength - 10ml bottle with a little bit out of it - doctorjellybean if you want it it's yours (if I haven't binned it) Thank you both! Will be sending a PM
