In the wake of the liability claims thread I thought it would be a good idea to start a separate thread for any common questions over safety people may have or some ideas from you the public would want to know and could be put down on paper as to hand out when you make your purchase from a vendor. You can also add any safety rules that you think may apply like for instance "do not leave batteries unattended whilst on charge" I think all vendors will want to make your vaping experience as safe as it possibly can be by following some basic guidelines.

I get what your saying dave you have to be an expert in every field these days to not get ripped off. Jason has a really good point in testing s I test all my equipment to the best of my ability and for instance the BW which I tested for two weeks solid before I sold any units but because of the amount of problems decided to stop selling it for the safety aspect. Incidentally Im still using my original BW at work and it's never once played up but I would rather be safer than sorry and couldn't live with myself if something happened with one.

I'm glad you worked that one out collie as I wouldn't have had a clue Some of the older ones out their must remember the old advert on tv years ago about mixing cross ply tyres with radial tyres on their cars ? Not much barring to the thread but just a thought as people do try using different pieces of equipment that will fit but isn't meant to be used with certain mods, take a small 510 battery for instance I'm no expert with these batteries as I've never owned one but i do know that a while ago I read that one exploded as the wrong charger was being used to charge it even though it did fit as the guy was using the stronger tornado charger as his 510 charger had broken. I think when it all becomes official their will be a better industry standard which will all benefit from ofcourse though at a price.

Just a for instance here but what if you bought a mod from one vendor batteries from another and atomisers from someone else and something happened, who would the blame lie with ? Vaping is still very much in it's experimental stage and you only have to read through the forums to see the how toos with people trying different set ups with various batteries and atomisers ect on various mods and as their is no industry standard and very little quality control especially in china were 99% of the equipment is made how can it all be policed ?

Bought one of the very first MK1's from Trog when he was selling them on eBay. Got a 2nd gold coloured MK1 but gave that to Lee for designing the forum banner Never use the one I have these days - was never too keen on the bottom button. Really ? I've always found the button more comfortable than anything I've ever used, off topic slightly but more so even better than the GG slim button as that can be too stiff even for my little pinky. I broke my mod virginity with an SD so it will always be at the top of my favourite mod list

always keep them in a cool dark place if you cant get them in the fridge, i took a bottle to turkey with me and it went off in the heat and tastes disgusting now.
another tip also is to not leave your mod in the car especially on the seat in the sun as not only will the liquid thinning and going off you risk the batteries exploding in the heat.

i think if/when it ever went properly mainstream small vendors/modders like myself would fall by the wayside tangled in rules regulations and red tape. as it is now a lot of us are just making hay whilst the sun shines and enjoying modding and selling as our hobby but for how long as at the moment we are still in a tiny minority in what we do but as an example i have personally converted around 30 people familly/friends/ and more i suspect who have bought from my website so if everyone is doing that which i suspect they do it will be sooner rather than later.

2 x MK 2 in chrome 1 x MK 1 in chrome with brass trim and button
ive owned about 9 in all at some point and always find the chrome model provides more power to the attie than the black powder coated ones.

Trog wouldnt make them scyl as he heavily disapproves of stacking batteries, I had this conversation with him some time ago and it's one of the reasons I asked Graeme to see if he could get some made.

Bauway you are *%@"*** Sorry but completely wrong of them, it's a defective product that could be very dangerous. I might have to send them an email to air my views! please do lisa the more emails they get the more notice they may take on selling items like this. james its not always easy to research a product especially when it hasnt long been out on the market as every seller wants to be the first to stock it but i totally agree with you and take onboard what you are saying and the main reason i will no longer stock battery mods like that anymore as its a freigteneing thought and something i couldnt live with on my concience if something happened. a lot of people asked me to sell e-liquid but again if something went wrong in the mixing process or a bad batch was sent to me again i couldnt live with myself so declined to do that aswell and it makes you appreciate what some of the other guys out their do for us.

good luck mark & well done with the significant post here from bauway. that has to be the most unusual thing that a company of their standing would choose to do. i expect bauway would probarbly seize on particular announcements within these threads to dispute a paypal claim aginst them, and i worry that paypal would be forced to view your personal dismantling as negative interferance with their products. obvious concerns exist in the effect this episode has on your business, but i think that you may be over worried and overestimating the cost in comparison to the business as a whole. i would guess takings from the number of orders that have been fulfilled for seperate orders, or non-510n stock, would provide ample profit to absorb the setback currently posed by the 510n. you should certainly exercise every right you have to persue this in full. hopefully bauway will recognise the negative impact that misrepresentation provides, and will quietly settle this in a appropriate terms. i think you would be very supprised on how little profit their is in ecig parafanalia unless sold in great numbers which i dont do,after origonal purchase/shipping/duty/tax/paypal fees/uk p+p and i dont mind giving a few examples, i make about £1 on a packet of clearomizers and about £7 on a BW510N because i only buy in small ammounts, i run this more as a hobby than anything else which helps pay for my own equipment and lets me try out new parafanalia that i otherwise would not be able to do. maybe the guys who do it as a full time buisness make a bit more with bigger buying power but i dont have a great turn over on a weekly basis so cant order in great numbers especially with the ecig market churning out new "must have" items virtually on a daily basis.

i emailed bauway about all the complaints ive had and pointed them to this very thread in my email so thats probobly why they have made an appearance theyve also told me in no uncertain terms through paypal i will not get a refund. i also told them they should of had a warning on their website about them not running certain types of atomizer like i did on my website as soon as i found out they wouldnt, the warning i got in an email from them after many complaints to them was this, i have confirmed with our engineer . because the battery is the lithium battery , so it cannot fit for low atomizerthis firm has cost me dearly and has probobly now put me out of buisness with the ammount of money i have lost and customer trust so i urge anybody thinking of buying anything bauway to give them a wide birth untill they get their act together and start producing goods fit for sale. thank you bauway for your false advertising NOT >
