Flew back to Ireland from Gatwick this morning. All batteries in hand luggage, filled clearo in plastic bag to go through security - no problems. Put it all back together on the other side and hung it on a lanyard round my neck. Stealth vaped around the World of Duty Free, then went upstairs for a look at the food on offer. There was the House of Prunier seafood/caviar place (which isn't t all enclosed, it's in the middole of the open area), proudly displaying a 'vaping welcome' sign, and selling e-cigs (think they were their own brand - some pink, some black). I sat down, had a nice prawn salad, an espresso and vaped until my gate was called. Wandered off to the gate, and sat there vaping with no comment from anyone. On to the plane (Aer Lingus) - again, vaped quietly to myself in my seat, and nothing was said. As we reached cruising altitude, I suddenly started smelling chocolate donut... a Kanger T3 at cabin pressure leaks like a leaky thing! One stained tissue later (ooer) all was well. Landed at Ireland West and vaped in the arrivals hall/baggage reclaim - again, without issue. Also vaped all the way home on a bus Just thought I'd tell you all how I got on, in case anyone is worried about vaping in airports etc. Of course each airline is different, and maybe no one actually noticed me doing it - but I (thankfully!) didn't set off any alarms or have any issues other than the leaky clearo. I wouldn't have argued if they'd told me to stop it (not that stupid!) - and I was very pleased to see the sign at the Prunier place. This was the south terminal, btw., but I would imagine whatever policy is in place would apply to the north too. Now at home, waiting on vape mail tomorrow Life is good!

I'll be there! Am definitely on the right side of the Irish Sea on the 4th, 'cos Dad has an appointment with his specialist on the 2nd. Looking forward to seeing you all again, plus maybe some new people. I'll alert James!

Hello again all you lovely people - just wanted to let you know I've not gone and disappeared on you, just been struck down with the norovirus thing since Monday night - and it's not a lot of fun! I keep thinking I'm feeling better, then eating something, then realising that was a bad mistake - and so on. Back on the H2O diet for another 24 hours. Vaping chocolate donut seems to help! On the plus side, I think I'm losing weight!

Hello! Welcome to the friendliest vaping forum there is - I've only been here (and vaping) a couple of weeks - OK, almost a month - but it already has taken over my life Loads of people here who know everything about everything 'vape' who are so helpful Tell us a bit more about yourself and your interest in/experience of vaping?

Victoria or London Bridge for me - and I agree, being able to sit down and hold a conversation at a reasonable volume is very important, as are ground level loos! Food would be an added bonus, but - for me - is not essential as there's usually somewhere to eat close by when in London. It goes without saying that it should be a place that allows vaping! I'm racking my brains trying to think of somewhere suitable from the days when I used to work in London, but chances are if I did think of anywhere it wouldn't be there any more!
I really do appreciate the efforts of those who are actively searching for a venue - it's not easy, and I wish I could help!

For me (and I suspect for many others) anywhere accessible by tube would be OK - with the proviso that it can't be too far out, else I'd have to leave early in order to get the last train home. I also get a bit nervous in non-busy areas of London late at night, if alone!

Lady Vapealot wondered how long she could get away with hiding her vape mail under her kirtle...

Dunno if anyone will be interested about my opinion of vaping after a month of doing it - but anyway, here goes 1) I love it! I am delighted to be off cigarettes, and I'm saving a fortune (and really not spending that much now). 2) For me, my starter kit will probably be fine for a while (at least until I can afford a Provari) - I'm more into flavours than kit - think that could be a girly thing - you guys and your rebuildables etc. confuse the heck out of me! I'm saving my pennies for Vapefest, at which point I'll know more about what I want, I think. Whatever it is, I think I want it in blue No one seems to do much in blue. 3) I think it's REALLY important to try a huge variety of flavours until you find 2 or 3 that you really like. I have some I'm not keen on, and it makes the entire vaping experience a not-so-good one. If those were all I'd tried, I would probably be back on the stinkies by now, but Wingnuts Wibble, their Select Chocolate Donut and Vanilla Custard, Mirage's Cappucino, Bargain Vapour's Coffee, plus my new love - Vapourtine's Jasmine - well - those are all so nice I really enjoy vaping them far more than I ever enjoyed the taste of a cig. If, on the other hand, all I'd tried was Totally Wicked's Irish Cream (spit!) I'd think this vaping business was for people without tastebuds! 4) Vapers seem to be really nice people, but I can only go by those who I've met - so that means you lot who were at the LSE meet! 5) Wow, don't your tastes change in the first month? There was one juice I loved for the first week, but now tastes like perfume to me (Wingnuts Honey Wood). I'm really not interested in tobacco tastes any more, though of course haven't tried them all (and have a few in my collection I have yet to try, so may change my mind). 6) I feel so much better! Chesty cough is gone, now it's just a light bit of hacking in the mornings to clear the 'orrible build up of the past mumble mumble years. I don't care that we don't yet have any proper, peer-reviewed studies of the effect of vaping on health - I can FEEL the difference. 7) Most MEP's are idiots. They need educating, and I guess I'm going to do my best with my local ones, once I get home again. Think that's about it - I think my way forward will be to explore flavours more than kit, with a view to creating my own - as a foodie I'm really into tastes and can see this becoming a bit of an obsession! Finally - a big thanks to you all for being so welcoming and patient with those questions that all newbies (me very much included) ask. Love this forum!

Odd that he says he never takes any notice of emails, and then engages in a discussion with you via email...

May 4th is perfect for me, so I hope that's when it is Today, am mostly vaping UKEcig's 'Lust' (ooer) which seems to be strawberry menthol, I think, though less menthol than the Purple Rain. Very nice!

The Purple Rain is blackberry and menthol, from what I can tell - I'm loving it

The big question is - is the vodka drinkable afterwards? Thanks!
