It is always an agonising decision buying your first kit Matt! Since you seem to have taken to the E-lites, I'M quite sure you will find an eGo with a clearomiser much better - whichever battery you go for. Once you get started with it you will soon want to get another battery as a backup/ alternative and perhaps try some alternatives to the CE4. There are also lots of different juices to try! I'd agree with Chrissie - just start with a basic kit and get a feel for it and check out the forum for ideas on what to try next Thanks. I will go with the basic kit which comes with 2 batteries. I may even ask if I can change one battery to the twist and pay the difference. I dont really need 3 batteries lol.

Hello & welcome Matt The ego kit from your local guy is a good price - especially as it comes with a bottle of juice Majority of folks prefer clearomisers & they are good, but I still prefer the draw on cartomisers. Yes I think we bumped into each other on another board

Yeh I don't want anything too technical, just something I can fill up and vape. Well I will give the clearomizers a go, and if I don't like them, I can always change to cartomizers to the forum Matt and congratualtions with switching If you do try cartos you can use a tank with them like this one you either have to buy pre punched cartos (one's with a hole in so the juice can flow inside it) or you can punch your own with one of these using a tank means less refilling and they look nice too, especially the one I linked too, they are very popular. There was 10 left when I linked to it and now there are 9! Even though its early days you might want to look into something like an eGo Twist battery or a Vision Spinner so as you can adjust the output voltage which enables you to tweak the flavour intensity and vapour output. I bought an eGo Twist after starting on a Nicolites cigalike and they are basically bomb proof lol. And then comes shinyitus My local vendor has the single twist kit 900 mAh for £34.9. Everything is the same, just 1 batty instead of 2.

Just get some tanks. Not sure on the technical term but they are like ego-T's or ego tanks (or as Totally wripoff wicked call them Tornado Ts). I love them, and ended up buying a rebuildable set so I dont have to replace again (but that you will find later if you like vaping and get into the advanced kits) Yeh I don't want anything too technical, just something I can fill up and vape. Well I will give the clearomizers a go, and if I don't like them, I can always change to cartomizers

You'll have a very hard time finding a decent sized auto battery mate and yes he was right, they are very temperamental. Plus in order to work they are not sealed because they need an airflow to pass through them. Downside of this is that if your clearo leaks any juice it will find its way into the battery electronics and kill it. Manual batteries are far superior and are suprrisingly comfortable to use. Ok cool. So thats +3 for the local man . When I get my bonus through this weekend I shall go down an buy a kit. Right lastly clearomiser or cartomiser? He said you get a better TH and Vapour with clearomisers, but they are not the same as my e-lite or a analogue. Or will I get used to them? And I suppose the extra juice can't be a bad thing lol.

Links are fine mate, yes it's just for the clearomiser and yes it will fit on the CE4 battys and any other ego threaded battery. Cool, yeh he said that in the shop, that they are very interchangebale. Unlike the E-Lites. Just one more thing, was he right about the auto battys? Or are there decent ones out there? Just I probably would prefer an auto if they are up to it.

Hi Matt. Welcome to the forum! Both are good starting kits and both will be a shed load better than the elites. Although the Elites are good for what they are, the educated vapor will always end up with a "real" starter kit that is not a money grabbing opportunity, Ok thanks, if they both seem average (and most importantly better than e-lites) I will go with my local shop. 1 it saves deliver time, and second I'm helping create jobs for my town. I know little things. But if the price is pretty much the same, I will always stay local

Hi there, I am new to this vaping world. I'll give you some background info of me I smoked for about 10 years, mostly golden virginia. I smoked about 75-100g a week. I have tried to quit many times over the last 4-5 years, using most of the NRT products, spray, inhalers, patches, gums and lozengers but to no avail! So I went into Sainsburys last week and purchased an E-Lite single charge e-cig and 2 cartomizers. I then went back the next day to get a USB charger. So that cost me £22. I then was running very low on tips (Sunday) so I bought 2 more tips (they only had menthol yuk! lol). I was thinking of getting a new kit as these e-tips will work out expensive £4 a day which is almost cheaper to smoke hand rolling tobacco. After some advice from another forum I was going to get the Riva 1100 Deluxe kit which has 2x 1100 battys, 5 cartomisers, 1 clearomiser, case and USB charger @ £34.99. I'm unsure if this is an auto batty or not. But I discovered there is a local online vendor in my town, so I went down there to firstly refill my e-tips, which works out alot cheaper 10ml bottle @ £4.45. I bought 2 as they didn't take card payments less than £5. Whilst I was there I asked what starter kits he had, he said his most popular is the eGo EC4, which has 2x 1100 battys, 2 clearomisers, a case, 10ml juice and a USB charger @ £36.50. I also asked did he do any auto battys, but he said he hasn't done for 2 years as they keep going off in your pockets and such. Is this true. He also said I will find it hard to find a decent one. So this brings me where I am today. Do i get the Riva from vape escapes and use a 10% discount code, or do I go to my local shop and get the EC4? Which one is better priced, and more importantly which kits are better? Sorry for all the questions and such a long post, but I just wanted to get some thoughts and ideas. Many thanks in Advance Matt
