hissie - get a 4 bay charger - you only need 2 now, but for the couple of quid extra, you never know when the extra bay will come in handy.

ps- I think I remember ft saying on one of their discussions, if you get in touch with nitcore, they will confirm that the chargers are genuine

Any advice or views appreciated !

My money is on goosed batteries. (& by the sounds of it, you're bloody lucky they didn't explode or burst into flames)

E-cigs - I need your help

Dear Friend,

The European Parliament will vote on October 8 to determine its position as to whether to classify e-cigarettes as medicines, potentially restricting their availability, adding cost and forcing some manufacturers out of business.

I believe that e-cigarettes could be a game changer in helping people to get off tobacco and live healthier lives. My impression is that there is growing momentum behind this view but we are still some way off winning the vote. We need a positive and decisive result to ensure that e-cigs remain at least as available as tobacco products in order to send a strong message to those who will be negotiating a final agreement between MEPs and EU governments.

This is why I need your help.

Obviously we need support from MEPs in 28 different countries but Parliament's rapporteur (team leader if you like) is British Labour MEP Linda McAvan. Until now she has supported the medicines regulatory approach, and so have all her British Labour colleagues. If they can be persuaded to move it could make all the difference. We can already count on the support of my Liberal Democrat colleagues, together with British Conservatives. On this issue even UKIP MEPs may cast a vote, and if they do it will be along the lines we wish.

I have attached the email addresses of Labour MEPs to the bottom of this email.

The most effective way of persuading them is NOT to send identical e-mails to all. I would encourage you to write only to the MEPs for the region in which you live, and tell your personal story about why e-cigs have made a difference to you.

If not, I don't get it - you've got a battery with a clearo on, vaping away nicely.
And you've got a battery either flat, on charge or just come off the charger, fully charged.

The one you have the clearo attached to has 'some' charge, and will go on charge when you start using the other.

I have 4 18350 batteries for my mini-LT, and I have a 'fully-charge', 1 being used, and the charger for flat ones - never get confused.

Not spend a fortune? It seems to me you don't really need to spend anything.

This may be the case, but would you trust the people who got the incorrect summons issued, to get it revoked?

I certainly wouldn't, and would be contacting the court as well.

On the other hand, having read through their website, (if I had nothing better to do that day) I'd possibly be tempted to turn up to court with the payment reciepts, & give them the 2 finger salute.

Valid defences
You may decide to attend court if you have a 'valid defence' to stop the Council asking for a Liability Order. There are two main defences which can do this:
1. the Council has not followed the procedures set down in law when trying to collect your Council Tax;
or
2. you have paid all the overdue Council Tax within the time limit given on the last reminder or final notice sent to you.
If you think you have one of these defences, please ring us straight away on 0113 398 4732 so that we can look into it for you. We may tell you that you do not need to go to court.
You can speak to the court about these valid defences, or you can get a solicitor to speak for you. You will need to provide evidence to back up what you say. The court cannot take into account any other reasons why you have not paid, even if you have been unable to pay. They cannot change the law and they must apply it as it stands.

Maybe worth speaking to the poll tax department at the counci first, to get a name that the court can contact.
