Had a look at my "creation" today - the liquid has completely lost its viscousity, after a quick vape - yes chocolatey coconutty flavour. That tells me Im on the right track with my mix. However Ive binned the lot 10mls including the bottle. I am convinced that there may have been interaction between the plastic and the fluid and even if there wasnt I will never feel comfortable vaping it.

Whilst browsing the net I came across people whom swear by "nuke" steeping - that is putting your mix in the microwave for a few seconds. I didnt particularly read into it much but tonight I was playing with a Coffee/Chocolate/Coconut mix and thought why not - lets have a "nuke". Disaster first mistake was I left it in plastic bottle, second mistake was "a few seconds in the microwave" - my juice was boiling out the top of the bottle . When I reached in to save my creation the bottle was soft and squidgy. Left it to cool down -not holding out any hope for it now... Has anyone else tried this "nuke" method with any form of results?

MOM and POPs Pchela Poison
Mix - 12mg nic 65/35 PG/VG 20% flavouring
Only been steeping two days so far - what can I say - this is scrumptious - really rich cocoa chocolatey flavour with caramel undertone. Good throat hit. Has just went to status of best flavour Ive tasted so far. Delightfull. Im not sure if this mix will last five days of steeping - making more now.

Couple of weeks ago before I went away to work I mixed all PA flavourings - final mix PG/VG 60/40 8% Lemon 8% Key Lime 4% French Vanilla Deluxe nic strength -18mg just tried it there - is a lovely refreshing exhale with vanilla on the inhale and loads of vapour on my riva with a C4 clearo what Im wondering now is tweaking it with either a) menthol to make more "clean fruity" b) ethyl maltol to sweeten it and enhance vanilla might try both

Well one month now with no lighter and cig papers. At the very top of the list of what Ive learned is vaping is something that is tailored to the individual, its not a generic one solution for all business. Its something that you have to set out on and discover what works for you in all its aspects. So heres an insight into some of my own vaping "evolution" in such little time as one month. Equipment - Ok started with a Skycig set up. Bought a Riva kit after first week. After first month - well shinyitus is pushing me now to look at a vamo and all that lovely controllable wattage. I still use my Skycig kit for at work - its a total bitch as it feels like a step back from the Rivas but logistically it works - I now refill all my skycig cartos with pretty strong 26mg tobacco flavoured juice and when I visit the smoke shack for a quick vape I still kinda fit into that smokers society/friendship. The Rivas - Im using more or less all the time with clearos on them. I tend to vape more than I smoked when Im at home which seems fairly normal. Vape Juice - Initially in my ignorance I was amazed at the flavours on offer from Skycig, little did I know!! I suppose like many I started to buy ready mixed juice from various vendors to start. I then found out about this weird "steeping" terminology - some of my first e liquid buys I was like this is horrible, doesnt have any taste yuk!! well after 1 or 2 weeks some of that stuff is the loveliest of lovelies - thats what steeping means!! and its when you taste it then it comes obvious. Ok Im still lost in the what flavours do I like - Finding menthol nice, fruits and some sweets. Actually finding it hard to say as I seem to be swapping nearly every other day what I like but a nice citric fruit or a menthol has a sort of refreshing taste. In my second week I developed a total hate of tobacco flavours then in my third week I kinda missed tobacco . Vape juice strength - yep this I am finding Im having to tailor to my lifestyle - at first I vaped 12mg and felt like I always needed more so I progressed to mad amounts of 26mg which I od'd totally on nicotine - cut that back to 18mg initially but now I find like flavours I need different strenghts for different parts of the day - sitting comfortably at home for an eveing heavy vaping - Im down to 8-12mg out and about 18mg, work smoke breaks 26mg - seems all so complicated but isnt really - just sort of works its self out naturally as you go along. Modding kit - been reading around this subject - has gave me a better inside knowledge of the kit and how it works, seems fairly basic around ohms law and simple electric circuitry, do I think I will be tinkering - nope I doubt i will be going that route. Mixology - Ah now heres my interest - the thoughts of experimenting with flavours strength etc etc - have spent an inordinate amount of money this month on flavours etc etc and read loads - and yet have mixed no more than two single flavour mixes - I will be progressing more down this route when Im back home. Money Saved - In my experience - nothing, its costing me - mind you my tobbacco habit was fed on duty free rollies - about a tenner a week - is not the cash Im saving is the lungs. Added to the outlays I have found extra costs from an unexpected angle due to firstly my oldest son, secondly my partner and now my partners friend all trying vaping - mainly at my expense - I can see me mixing juice for more than me in the future - although Ive told them all they will have to start ordering their own hardware. Pet Hates - Ok probably the bargain thread on here yeah I cant resist a lot. Being stuck at work with just skycigs. One month in and sold my soul to the world of vaping it seems

I read through this thread with amusement, some hilarious comments. Getting back to the title of the thread though; compared to cigarettes you probably can vape "cheaper". I was a rolling tobacco smoker and I sourced cheap tobacco so my habit cost no more than about a tenner a week. So in fact financially with this vaping I find myself worse off. For me the true cost benefit is the cost to my health tobacco was doing and I'm now already making great savings there. How can you put a financial value on your health?

Ive just placed an order for a variety of flavourings and some base. Managed to register by following check out button first then paypal later. Was so impressed by your shop title - so at least your OH was right on at least one count. Im impressed by your range too - when your capella stock arrives I will be "dipping" some more.

I had a look at your selection on your site, Im impressed, cant get my head round your shop title though - 28VL - was that a random choice? are you a fan of the movie or is there something else that made you choose that?

Received my new Riva kit today and some 54 PG, some PG and some VG. Also two flavours - Doppio Expresso and Choc Banana. All from vape escape. Over the last couple of weeks Ive been toiling with my skycig kit, has been actually becoming more of an endurance than a pleasure. Their flavours were not satisfying and I kept either getting nicotine OD or the opposite.
Well have just mixed a 14mg strength; 70/30 PG/VG; Doppio Expresso (15%) , filled a cart for my new Riva - and literally cant believe the whole new and much better level Ive just experienced.
Im sure I will be a dedicated self mixer from here on in as it gives me the freedom to vary strengths and flavours easily.
