One of my customers once asked a cabin stewardess if he could use his on a long haul flight to Egypt and she asked him to blow the vapour into the smoke alarm in the toilets to see if it set it off.

As it did not, she kindly let him use it at his seat. It is good to know that some sense is starting to kick in from various avenues (the BBC excepted as per usual, they like to scare monger in favour of the Governmental taxes such as theirs).

I totally agree with you it can be annoying as the code 18(65)0 is actually supposed to indicate the length of 65 mm  and 18350 is 35mm but some of the cheaper batteries which include protection have simply added some small circuitry at the end of a normal 65mm battery which adds an extra couple of millimetres. The more expensive protected batteries incorporate the circuitry within the overall length which is why they tend to be 65mm as they are supposed to be. You can use a rubber o-ring on some devices such as the lavatube but inevitably you should not over tighten the battery end caps to squeeze the batteries in as it can cause the top ends to work loose as I know from experience.

Just turned the news on to someone shouting about lung disease and various other health concerns and earthquakes, then noticed she is talking about fracking.....and relax.
