Ian opens his shop in Carlisle Market Hall, on Saturday 22 June. He has some fantastic opening offers, Provari £25, Vamo's £10, MVP £5, Protanks £5, Evod's £2, Nova's £1-50. E-Juice (Limited Flavours) 50p a litre.
Edit See further down, "Errm, well, maybe not exactly, was just letting all Cumbrian Vapers, he is opening on Saturday, but trying to make the announcement a little more interesting. I shall send a Paypal gift to chris, to re imburse his train fare, thought the juice price of 50p a litre, might have given a clue."
Ta digiwOrx, done.

Hi, I was pointing out the survey, click on survey, they do ask for email address at the end of the survey by the way. But you can see comments at the bottom of the survey page 10, he gives an update. Might make one's mind up whether to part take or not.

well i have just been down our local pub, talkiing to a guy with a lookalike but he had given up stinkies last september and the landlady who had been using an ecig for few months and fully supported them, that was amongst a quite a few that i have drummed up some support from in one afternoon, unfortunately said landlady is leaving next week otherwise she said she would support me in approaching the local newpaper I am just kind of waiting for some leadership to come along .... or are we going to have to do it ourselves? Yes, do it, or you may wait forever for someone to speak on your behalf. Your Local Newspaper will most prob just give you a call, now and then. Let me give you an example, of what I am trying to get across. When Ian organized the EEAC Carlisle Meet, he featured in a pre publicity pic and article, and I passed on his contact details to a reporter friend of mine to speak to him about the AAEC meet. When all the latest news surfaced, who did they contact for a local opinion, Ian of course. And who will they contact in the future, for any other News Breaking Stories, for a local opinion, Ian. Sorry, Should have read,"News Breaking Vape Stories".

As I said before (can't remember where as theres so many threads) I feel the word ECIG needs to be dropped. Now that the media has latched on to that name and relates it to cigalikes people in general will now automatically think that's what we use and that's all we are about, which, we all know couldn't be further from the truth. Yes, it is mentioned at the beginning of this thread/post.

I have been wondering about this myself. I have been trying to restrain myself from contacting anyone as I thought ECITA or someone would be coming up with an action plan as it all seems to have gone a bit quiet about it. I expected the troops to have had some instruction and guidance about an action plan by now. It's ECCA which are the consumers group, ECITA are the vendors group and work for themselves, while they are doing a great job, they are really looking after the vendors. not the consumers. While I was at ECCA as rep for AAEC, this was one of my points, I have lots of people on AAEC who want to do something, lets do something. You might guess the outcome, as I am no longer the rep and ECCA isn't doing anything. I've no doubt ECCA will have a robust defence why they aren't doing anything, but it wasn't down to me trying while I was there. Why don't you start your own group Womble, you would get plenty of support from the people on here, look how they responded to your resignation.

First of all, in my opinion, in the longer term, “Vaping” needs to distance itself from the term e-cigarettes, if possible ? (which in most peoples eyes and the media means an e-cig look alike at present, from my experience.) as you all know “Vaping” as we know it, is a totally different experience. But as stated, they don't.
To me, this is the main problem, how to achieve that is a different question which needs a lot of input, from people like “you”. So let's put that aside for the moment and look at the original question, which is far easier to deal with.
1. Wherever you live, you will have a Local Newspaper, you should simply contact their News Desk and ask to speak to a reporter, and voice your opinion, on vaping or whatever for that matter, and give them all your contact details. 2. If you have a simple good quality head and shoulders pic of your self that you could send them, then that would help, or they may make an appointment with you to send a photographer to take one. 3. News Agencies look through all local Newspapers and lift and sell on, any topical news stories to National Newspapers. 4. That's just one route how local News Stories, make National Headlines. 5. Even if they make no immediate response, they have your contact details and may contact you in the future, when they seek a local voice on such an issue.
This is a route, that makes National Headlines although it may seem simple and naive. But this is where you come in and play an active role, contact your local Newsdesk. They will take notice.
