If you have any old carto tubes, you can easily make a drip tube till you can get one. You need a short piece of the plastic sleeve you've cut off to slide on the bottom. Then tap the tube over it, insert drip tip and off you go.

Get it drilled out, don't be soft. Just don't go mad. Take it to 1.0, then go in .1 till it feels right. I have 2, one is tighter than the other but they're both 1.0 holes. My RSM is 1.1 and is or feels a lot airier.
Plus, a wide bore DT can make a difference too.
