Hey Collie - i don't mean to be letting no cats out of no bags here. But was it you that said that your husband "might" give the ecigs a go too ?
You wanna show him the world of "all about" that you've discovered. We're gonna try and help you all we can. I found it a help just posting on here and reading posts from people going through exactly what i was going through.
I went one day on my e cig and didn't try to encourage my wife to use it ( if i had of she would have fought against it). She saw i went one day with no fags and got all interested to have a go. And so next day we had to go get her one too. We've both gone 5 weeks and a few days without any fags and we're still together without the word divorce even coming up once (as it has every other attempt to quit..lol).

Collie, you do know you can get a pink riva 510 don't you ?
I think you'll be surprised at how good your "crappy" e cig is. I was bowled over by a similar one. So much so that i didn't smoke for the 10 days i was using it. I think it takes about that long to realise that with an e cig quitting smoking is do-able. And you just want a better model to make things a little less fussy and worrying. If you WANT to give up smoking then e cigs will help you do it. Better than patches or gum or inhalers or drugs. The e cig will make it potentially a lot easier. Add that to the massive distraction of learning new habits and you can see why it works.

Redcard. Hello.
I'm saving about half of the money i spent on cigarettes (rolling tobacco papers and filters actually).
But i'm not into to it too madly. I'm taking my time and getting into it steadily.
£100 will get you a fabulous kit. I don't think you need to spend that much. If i were you i'd go for a "banker" kit first. By banker i mean one that will do as it says on the tin that you can fall back on if your fancy one needs a part or something. A riva 510 will set you back £30 approx it comes with two batteries. Each one will last you a day. Some liquid for £6 and you got £64 to spend when you have more idea(after coming on here and chatting and asking) of what "special" you want.
Simples....lol

Wow that works. I didn't know you could enlarge so easily. I don't have to squint now.

Yeah i gotta add a "well done" to the chorus. Well done Chrissie and Lee. Your efforts have been worthwhile as the forum now looks a little more interesting and lively straight off.
Quality work. I like it.

Yeah i started with a "Health e cig". To be honest i can't really knock it. It's the device that got me off of cigarettes. It worked very well. I got plenty of vapour off of it. However the battery life wasn't very good for me. I work outside all day every day. I had to upgrade to a model with a bigger battery. Only the battery life really made me look toward geting another e cig. I am pleased i did though as the cartridges on my new one last much longer too. And they're easier to re-fill. Vaping is a lot less stressful and fiddly when you have a better e cig. Of course you don't realise this untill you upgrade. On my "health e cig"i was getting through 4 to 5 cartridges a day. This was after thinking 1 cartridge should last me. If i had to start a second cartridge in a day i was worrying that i was becoming seriously addicted to e cigs....lol

Well done only 5 cigs.
Dunno about the mouth ulcer. I haven't had one while i've been vaping.
Its funny to hear people saying they are smoking and e cigging/vaping. If you were to go a whole day just using your e cig i bet you would hate the taste of a cigarette. It's strange how that is. But thats how it is. You'll see for yourself soon enough. It's amazing.
It's funny to hear you say about going outside for a fag too. When i first started with my "health e cig" i kept going out to the garage (where i used to smoke). Took me a while to be comfortable sitting in my front room and "smoking/vaping".
I feel great though and thats something that starts happening pretty quickly.

Yes Don i will post a thread "My first atty died".
Not showing off or anything here but my atty does look good. It works well too. I get a good and consistent vape from it. I think this is actually a pretty well put together e cig.
Roachie - i stick it in my mouth and draw nice and slowly. At work i keep it nearish to me. I have to set it down as i would break if i kept it in my pocket. I stop working about every half hour and have three nice big chuggs. I sit in my van at 10am for half hour and 1pm for half hour eat my sandwiches and have little vape session while i drink me coffee. At night i vape pretty much like i would smoke.

Hi Maxine and i'll add my welcome to the chorus you have already received.
I'd just like to say that if you intend to quit smoking (sorry Lee) then you are giving yourself the best chance possible by doing it with an e cig. I've been 5 weeks without a fag now. And i'm calm. I've tried so many times to quit that i've lost count of my failures.
Coming on this forum has helped. I've learnt so much. From knowing nothing about e cigs at all. I like golden virginia for my tobacco taste. 24mg. I don't always need 24mg but it's there if i do need it. If i'm a little stressed all i have to do is take a couple of draws and i'm cool.

Yeah i'm keen on the sound of vocal harmonies too.
The bee gees were pretty good at it. Simon and garfunkel. The everly Brothers. Going further back i think the Inkspots were up there.
