I got the other one from MagsvapeI have spent some time working it out, but now I'm going to try a 2mm+1mm wick solution with silica. Let's see. I was surprised at its size - I thought it would be too wide for my vmax, but I think the other choice (AGT) would have been too small! Maybe I'll get one to go on my new ego spinner to match. Hmm!

RBA's?

I was hoping insulation wasn't needed if you burnt the mesh sufficiently? Ignore me, I'm just exhibiting my stupidity when it comes to RBAs. I have yet to actually tinker or even receive mine, I was hypothetically discussing aloud. d'oh. I may be interested in those silica 'socks' though - if that works. See - there I go again. I better stick to swordsmanship.

Personally I don't know what the 'normal' draw is like, so I'm going for a russian. But the principle is there haha

Do take into account that the area around the wick hole will be getting very hot. So I would avoid anything that melts or reacts badly with heat ^^ Touché. Shrink it is then. Shame that I don't have any that gauge - mine is all much bigger for server case cable modding. Any idea what size? infinitesimal?

Don't know of any way of insulating the wick hole (it's not that big so you can't put a rubber inside of it). Maybe you could coat the ss wick with some shrink wrap? I've been using the aga-T, aga-T2 etc for over a year now and must say that only in the beginning I had some issues with the ss wick being a bit too conductive. Good to know. Maybe a tiny bit of electrical tape in the crucial area? I even have some plasti-dip lying around, which I might thin down. (can be thinned to 'paint' on - tiniest ring on contact could sort it out a treat and be less fiddly than tape with monster truck hands)

I bought the other AGA-T2 going the other day. Hoping it won't be too much hassle - I was debating between it and an AGT as I can get a good price on those.
In terms of the wick hole - is there a way to insulate them? silicone grommet or something? Gonna try basic silica and ekowool then SS.

Hi mate, when's your shop open in Birmingham? I'd love to have a solid option near work..haha! Also, what chance is there that I can get a Russian 91% through you? Don't mind putting down on a pre-order. Otherwise looking forward to being able to pop in and say HI

Just got a 650 spinner second-hand for £11 posted. Not bad! Should do as a backup I think Not even sure how long my vmax will last yet as batteries from Torchy are on the way! Sort of worried I'll enjoy the ego more than the vmax, given the battery faffing. ahhh!

Well, I'll take the MVP and the twist batts to start..then I'll come back for the rest!
pretty substantial collection. It raises the question - if you do the math (don't!) is this better or worse than those guys with four provaris/full RBAs you see online? haha. Those are the real ones to watch! This is totally justifiable. Say it with me.

richieh - there's another itaste going in the classies. I want to like them, but I'm jealous that they're simpler than my vmax. no battery faff.
