Without seeing it its imposible to say, have you tried changing the filters, or washing them out if they are the washable ones ( don't forget to let them dry first ) it does sound like the filters are clogged causing it to overheat, but don't use it as it is

Not had any trouble with mine until it took a dive off a shelf & cracked the pyrex, I'm gutted because It's a really good tank. Don't know what to tell you about setting it up, I just sit the new carto in the base screw the stainless sleeve on & mark the holes with a pencil, take the carto out & punch two holes opposite each other its about 8mm up. I do prime the carto first, as djs said, don't fill the tank all the way to the top or it can flood. I know this is a daft question, but it has got the clear silicone o ring in the base? hissie |
