Thanks guys ..... This problem only happens with some batteries and not others... If there was a grommet issue wouldn't it's be the same no matter what battery I used ..? Sorry if I'm sounding thick here...

I seem to lurch from one vaping crisis to another... My vamo is now displaying the message " short" and stops working. This happens on 3 out of my 4 18350 batteries.... I'm really hoping its a battery issue rather than the device. I had problems with the crappy charger the Vamo came with from FT. First it stopped working then only one bay would work but it wouldn't cut off and super heated the batteries. The batteries ended up reading 4.5v on the Vamo ! In hindsight I shouldn't have used them but I thought the vamo's internal protection would prevent any damage. I then invested in a nightcore charger and thought I had the batteries working again..... A few days later and now I'm having these issues. Now I'm staring out of the window desperately hoping the postie will turn up with the 2 efest batteries I ordered on Wednesday or the spinner that raid2506 so kindly fixed ( Thanks so much bud ! ) Any advice or views appreciated !

Keep going Gemma... I've only been completely fag free for about a week now... It's been pretty difficult with the wife still on the stinkies... I have had the odd fag when sharing a glass or 2 of vino ... That's now tailed off completely and I find that a ciggie now tastes awful .... Glad you found your ideal set-up ... Keep going ... You can do this !!

There's quite a difference between 3mm silica and 3mm ekowool ... The ekowool looks like you could use it for abseiling !!

Hi,
still patiently waiting for my ithaka clone to arrive on the slow boat from china .... In the meantime I've got my ready made wires and wick ready to have my first stab at re-coiling ....
its now occurred to me that the advice I got from somewhere to get 3mm ekowool my not have been the best advice ... Am I worrying unnecessarily or have I got the wrong stuff ?

In a previous post mentioned that my cheap nasty Chinese charger has given up the ghost ... Well after a bit o fiddling out of desperation to get my Vamo going its started working ... Sort of ... Now only one bay works but it charges and keeps charging ... The red light stays on and the battery gets very hot ... I'm sure if left un-attended it would burst into flames or explode .... I tested it under constant supervision and turned it off when it got very hot ... The little 18350 battery was reading 4.2v on the Vamo.. They really shouldn't be allowed to sell this kind of crap...
