One of my colleagues (a smoker!) complained to our manager. When I asked her why, she said she didn't like the smell. I agreed to try a different juice, and she's fine with me vaping fruit flavours. She just doesn't like RY4.

I hope to have the first 2 of the 22mm version ready for the beginning of next week. They are built, and are on an overnight leak test. If they pass, I'll fit the coils/wicks, and give them a test firing with plain PG.
You have first refusal on number 1, Ian!

I was going to ship them as a kit of parts. However, my brother has convinced me to build them myself, so I'll fit a coil and wick while I'm at it.
The wick and wire I use came from Bulli, but any resistance wire between 0.10 and 0.20mm will work, as long as you use the correct number of turns for the resistance you want. I use a double (folded) wick, but a single, thicker, wick will be fine. It should even be possible to use fibreglass wicks sold for oil lamps, or fibreglass stove rope (much cheaper, and available on eBay UK). It's just a case of getting a wick that's fat enough to draw up the juice, but thin enough to physically wind the coil.
Unlike a clearo or bottom tank, where the liquid has to be raised up by a couple of centimetres, the dripper only has to raise it a few millimetres. Wicking isn't really critical.
In short, just about anything should fit, and work!

Any idea when this will be available? I thought I read somewhere that it was on the 14th (today)?

I've managed to get hold of some terminals, but they are slightly bigger diameter than the originals. I tried a re-design, but it wasn't successful, so I'll be making some to the original design. To accommodate the slightly larger terminals, I'll be using 22mm tube instead of 20mm. The tube and Delrin cost a bit more, but the terminals are cheaper, so it all balances out!
I'll make a couple, and time how long it takes me. Once I've done that, I can work out the price. I should have enough parts to make 10, and they will all be sold "at cost" - time and materials.

Tim - I added you to the list, but forgot to post back here.
I think I've found a new supplier for the terminals.

Perpetua: You're on the list!
Aldo: I've got enough carto caps on the way to keep me going now, but still need some clearo bases
johhnyjames: The caps are made from Delrin - the same material as used for many drip tips, and also for the Arry tank.

Christophe finally received his attie today, so testing is now in full swing. He prefers a lighter draw, so I may have to offer an airflow option. Maybe 2 tubes, with different holes - one for the ex-rollie smoker, and one for the ready-made guys. I've ordered a load of terminals - hopefully they are in stock!
Thanks to some generous forum members over on UKV, I've now got the necessary recycled parts to make half a dozen atties. If anyone has some used 510 clearos (just the connector part needed) or Boge carto top caps, they will be gratefully received.

Is the total resistance 3ohms? Or is it two 3ohm coils in parallel (making 1.5ohms)?
How it's configured shouldn't make a difference, as long as the total resistance at the connector is the same. If they use more current, the resistance must be lower.
However, Griz said that they have two 1.5 ohm coils, which only works if they are in series. In parallel, the resistance would be 0.75ohms, in series it would be 3ohms/
Might have to buy some and see what all the fuss is about!
EDIT: A quick search suggests that they are, indeed, 1.5ohm devices, with two 3ohm coils in parallel. Not surprising they drain batteries faster, as they are pulling twice the current compared to a standard 3ohm carto, and around 30% more than an LR carto.

Ah but ian your Dual Coils are 2 x 1.5ohm so technically they are 3ohm they just draw more power than single coil 3ohm. How does that work? I thought that a 3ohm load would draw the same current, no matter if it was a single coil or a dual coil (two 1.5ohm in series).
