SS GGTS arrived today! Beautiful-looking piece of kit, shinier than a shiny thing. First-class engineering too, but I wonder if it really has to be this complicated?
I fitted an AW 18490 battery that was originally bought for my Provari (fits perfectly with the telescoping section fully closed), an LR carto, and a nice new silver ally drip tip. Fits nicely in my hand, and draws perfectly with the air ring open halfway.
I can see why Imeo has his fans. This one is a keeper.

Not really a problem - I've still got the Darwin sitting untouched on my desk, plus some atties to build...... I can "make do" with the Provari for now.

Start charging your batteries (if you have them) Clockwork. I'll probably use shorter batteries in mine - not keen on the "telescope" look. I'll have to try and make a short carto tank, too.

Bought one myself last night. What's the score with UK shipping on these? Rumblings over on UKV about some of the first lot not being delivered yet.

I tried blue foam, but I prefer imitation fluval. I think it depends on the thickness of your juice. They are very cheap, so try both, and see which you prefer.
You can try dripping with a standard atomiser and cartridge. Just remove the filler, and pop the cart off to drip.

The filler gets compressed, and gunked up with juice. You can wash it out, but I just replace it every few days.
You can get the filler on eBay. Search for "fluval". Make sure you get the fluval polyester, not the fluval foam. Fluval is a brand of fishtank filter, and the refills come in 2 parts - polyester and foam.
I actually prefer the "fluval compatible" stuff to the genuine article. Cheaper, too.

Good news - found another UK supplier for the terminals. Ordered 20 pairs - hopefully they actually have them in stock! Should have them for the middle of the week.
I'll be making 5 in this batch (base caps are done), 4 are pre-ordered, so there's 1 left.
The first dozen were sold at cost (time and materials), so the price is going up to allow for £5 profit to split with Christophe. £32.50 inc first class recorded delivery.

AFAIK, the map tank and Arry tank are very similar (as are mine). Arry does a range of tanks to fit cartos and clearos.

Lilac - I'll add you to the list for the next batch. You are number 4.
As soon as I get some terminals, I'll be making some more.

I wasn't really ready to start a list, as I'm not 100% sure it'll go into "production".
However, if you want, I'll start a list and put you on it. My brother has already bagged the first one, and the second one will be going to a member for review.
Do you want to be on the list too, Ian?

RDA = Rebuildable Dripping Attie RTA = Rebuildable Tank Attie
I've got a couple of working prototypes. Just need to work on the final design.

Yes, the Bulli video that blakey linked to is the way that I make the coils. A 70mm length of wick, folded in half, and an 80mm length of 0.16 wire. Use a very thin nail or large needle (less than 1mm diameter), and 5 turns of wire for a 2ohm coil.
