@windows if funds could stretch to it I'd be very tempted to up my budget a little and invest in something a little better from you. It's this flippin Christmas mularkey and buying gifts for people other than myself, bah humbug....
I do/did love the vt40 in temp mode, I don't need to run big power. The size of the mod suits me, single 18650. Its perfect for me with a subtank mini built at about 0.09 ohms, red astaire, set at 420f at around 17/18w.

I've never seen them in stock, maybe I've just missed them but I believe I heard someone mention they had been waiting months. I did email them yesterday, still awaiting a reply.

Hi all, my vt40 510 threads are about knackered and hopefully our very own Windows might be able to do something with it. Anyway this has got me looking at new tc mods as my daughter has either lost or broken my spares. So far I'm looking at the evic vtc mini or the smok X cube mini, I'm slightly favouring the X cube as it appears to give me more options including the use of SS wire.
So, any advice on decent reliable tc mods would be massively appreciated or opinions on the two I've mentioned. Also any info on building with SS wire, I wouldn't even know where to source it, there doesn't seem to be much info around on it. I have no problems with ni200 but I wonder if the SS wire is any better.
Thanks, Jay.

I wasn't sure where to post this, In the open or in the members only section as there are enough haters already but I'm pretty sure nobody here could support it and with our laws it should never get past customs. When I initially saw a pistol like mod a couple of years ago I thought it was ridiculous and just the ammunition the haters needed. I believe our cousins over the pond are having one or two issues with Vaping and the authorities and they don't need this. They even call it raw, real, sexy, edgy !! I call it moronic, idiotic, stupid, irresponsible and a few more things I couldn't post here. I draw your attention to the "gang mod" produced by Kamry, the name itself is a reflection of its possible dual purpose. www.gangmod.com/?age-verified=a0d5e6cad3Mods please move if you feel inappropriate but it really pees me off the willingness of some people to make money with no regard to morals or ethics. Jay.

I worked my 6mg red astaire mix out at under £8 per 100ml if I remember rightly. So that's a big saving when it's around £15 per 30ml bottle when bought pre mixed.
Edit: Of course cost is going to depend on concentrates used. Red Astaire is going to be more expensive than a CCW apple concentrate for example and I buy pg and vg by the litre.

decoy what did you use to slot the air intake on the subtank mini ? Jay small hack saw then a nedal file its worth doing as it opens up the airflow to near nuff same as occ head Thanks for the tip, I've done this mod today and I have to say airflow is just great now. TC isn't kicking in as early and my 60% pg 40%vg mix is kicking out clouds of vapour. Might knock a heavy vg mix up just to wind the gf up. stevef it's made a real difference fir the sake of 15 minutes with hacksaw and a needle file. Jay

I've used outer Jiffy packaging before with boxed 'lithium batteries connected to a device' inside and had no problem declaring it at the counter, albeit a friendly Post Office. If you haven't sealed the package yet... wrap and tape some cardboard around the charger and stick it back in the padded envelope. If challenged over the packaging you can therefore say that it is boxed inside. But yes, it's all a pain in the ar$e these days!! I've found a small cardboard box that some medication came in, I've put the sealed battery in the charger then placed these inside the box, technically it's boxed inside therefore, possibly not as rigid as required but hey ho. The way I read it is the device the batteries are connected to has to be in rigid packaging. Not able to move freely within the outer packaging. It doesn't state anything about the type of outer packaging. I've got a couple of battery cases but then it's different rules again for batteries not connected to a device.
So tempted to just give the nothing on the restricted items list answer and chance my luck.
