Just came across this thread and was interested in this magnifier but think there could be a problem with it. It comes with a 2 pin USA plug and US voltage is 120 volts so may need a step down converter to get it to work on UK 240 volt. Unless it is switchable between the two voltages. Had a look on Fasttech site but does not say as to voltage ratings.

Yes have a go ,just shows you what you can do if you put your mind to it I only started vaping ( on the cigalike things on jan 1 this year, didn't know what a mod was) Now I am looking at another mod to go with this one The next one will be a smaller one 75 mm (3 inch) high 50 mm (2 inch) deep 30 mm (1.25 inch )thick Again two tone wood, vamo board and 18350 battery More female friendly. Will try to get one done this next week Cheers for the kind comments Pete Have already made a few mods, closest to a wood mod is venearing a standard case. Most recent one was in birdseye maple I posted on here a couple of weeks ago but realy want a all wood mod, even bought a router and router table a little while back thinking it would help, still in their boxes in shed but have limited carpentry skills also getting some decent wood does not seem easy to get hold of

Cheers guys, much apretiated. Meant to say tho that it is a standard plastic twin 18650 case covered in birdseye maple veneer hence the glueing.

Planned making a birdseye maple mod since last Vapefest after seeing the birdseye maple Provari and only just got round to making it. Started it a couple of weeks ago but most of the time it was a case of waiting for glue and varnish to dry then cutting and sanding so everything fits without looking a mess. Used twin 18650 and regulated with a modded MP2307 board (KIS 3R33S module), used a yellow meter to match the maple In between waiting for things to dry knocked up a atty stand in cherry wood. The wood was hard enough to take a thread so atties screw in

Used kapton tape but for some reason would not turn on, thought I had damaged the pcb so rigged it up outside the case but worked ok and have bored out a bit. Did not want to go to far tho in case I think of something else and need some metal there. Never know

Thanks macca, had a similar idea but using a 510 to ego adaptor and made a nut by cutting down and using the threaded part of a 510 atty conector but didnt work out, kept getting shorts. Problem is that when the top cap is screwed down it is a snug fit onto the pcb . Another idea I had was to fill in the top cap well with washers or similar then drilling out and fitting a 510 atty conector, but still on the to try list if I cant get a top cap

Anyone know if I can get a replacement seigeli zmax top cap. Its the one with the press fit 510 connector from the first AAEC zmax group buy, originaly pulled free a couple of weeks after recieving but managed to fix it with advice from macca but a few weeks ago it fell over on the table (had a AGR tank on it) and broke free again but this time cant fix it because the thin ring on the 510 connector that pushes into the top cap has brocken off. Have tried contacting siegeli 3 times but have had no reply. Realy not happy with siegeli, looks like they dont want to know

SVD here, ordered 5/6/13 shipped 14/6/13 and arrived 25/6/13. Going by the pictures I wasn't sure if I'd like it but now it's here find I do, realy like the top cap design, can fit anything on it Only ordered the mod itself now wish I'd bought the kit

Who said you cant kick a KTS and why? I'm using a kick in my KTS no problem Is that with 18650? Regards Jez No Jez, 18500, would have liked to use a 18650 but take a spare 18500 in a protective case when out and about, just in case. ps Good to see you back, I enjoyed your shows on VTTV, I was a noob at about the same time, any plans on the odd show now and again.
