I now run a ford kuga, ok yes its not a "proper" 4x4 like a series 2 landy but if you want a comfy long distance motor with that ability to tow i find it very good. Mine is the 168 bhp 2.0lr derv and its got plenty of get up and go and still returning on average 42mpg, THB i have never been a ford fan but i have to admit i really enjoy driving this thing. Its only part time 4x4 (haldex system) so your only using the 4x4 when its needed so less stress on other parts. I have another car for long distance comfort Im wanting a snow mobile as I'm in the sticks plus a runaround for my good lady when it's not snowing. I also have an L200 at present which is great when it snows and great for tip runs but the Mrs hates it, too high and it drives like a pram, it also sits on the drive for 360 days of the year and I begrudge the £245 tax plus insurance. The Dacia is only £130 tax and should get a lot more use if it's wife friendly.

Has something changed in the last hour or two Chrissie, I can't access any posts in Safari, as soon as I open a board or select new posts I get a list of black square boxes rather than the threads Thankfully all is well in Chrome apart from the usual inability to add pics.

Looks good Greg . Which model is it? I have the Ambiance but if I was going for a new one, I'd go for the Laureate. Yes it's the Laureate 4*4 with Sat Nav, hoping to get it moved up this way next week for a test drive.

My husband was a scrooge when we lived in the UK. He was against the lot, until I won a nice chunk on a horse bet and decided I was spending the winnings on a wee tree and a few decorations. We brought it with us when we moved to the US and I put the small tree up last week. Thought we were done at that. NOT! Two trees up now and half of the outdoor lights are done...so far. Won't be complete until next week-end because we're mostly starting from scratch and Jack didn't know what we'd need. Think he's been converted or gone mad. Maybe both, but he's been on the roof hanging stuff today and my work is done... Looking forward to the piccies next week !

You can also drive your car with no seat belt on but I wouldn't advise that either That's not bad as long as he knows his pulse rating and the length of time the pulse rating is for.. But it's always safer too stick with the continuous rating Each to their own I guess, I can only give my considered opinion then it's up to the end user to do as they see fit

You are using ohms law you just don't know it. Where did you get the not lower than 0.2 rule, likely passed onto you from someone who understands ohms law. If you look at my example above and instead of a 10 amp battery use a 20 amp battery like the 25R you'll see this now comes out at 0.21 ohms. Yeah a mate who does understand it told me that on paper, anything below .2 is dangerous territory even if your battery can handle lower but in practice they don't seem to blow up going lower. He builds ridiculous stuff like .08 using Sammy 25Rs and has never had a battery vent on him. I'm not brave enough for that personally. You can also drive your car with no seat belt on but I wouldn't advise that either

I don't use ohms law personally. I just make sure I use good quality, high drain batteries such as the Samsung 25R and never build lower than .2 just to be safe. You are using ohms law you just don't know it. Where did you get the not lower than 0.2 rule, likely passed onto you from someone who understands ohms law. If you look at my example above and instead of a 10 amp battery use a 20 amp battery like the 25R you'll see this now comes out at 0.21 ohms.

cheers pez ....gerg ...........helpppp not got a clue what that mneans lol It's just a representation of ohms law and related electrical equations. In a mech with a fully charged batt you'll have 4.2 volts so always use 4.2 for V. For I always use the continuous rating of your selected battery, so if we assume you were using a 10amp battery you can calculate the lowest coil resistance for that battery using V = I * R or 4.2V = 10A * R we can reconfigure the equation as :- R = V / I (by mathematical knowledge or see the chart ) So R = 4.2 / 10 = 0.42 ohms. So for a 10 amp battery in a mech don't build a coil lower than 0.42 ohms. You Would be vaping at 42 watts with a fully charged battery - P = I * V = 10a * 4.2v = 42 watts.

I agree and one shop in Aberdeen lost me and my sisters custom earlier this year for the exact same thing we went in my mum (non vaper) came in too it's a small shop and the idiot at the counter fogged up the shop so when my mum said she was going outside because she couldn't see he laughed and proceeded to keep blowing clouds daft twat asked if he could help with anything only to be told he could help by not being an a-hole to his customers and the 3 of us left. Some people need to learn that altho they think it impresses new vapours it actually does the opposite when your blowing them constantly in a small area It's a bit pricey in there anyway and the juice is pants
