I fill from the FILL screw every time and funnily enough don't seem to ever have any problems. Mental ain't it

Nic base depends what you want, I went PG and usually aim for around a 50/50 mix between PG and VG, PG is better for flavour and should give a better throat hit, VG gives more vapour and isn't as hard on the throat. Also some people can't take PG and get headaches etc so they vape 100% VG. Look at your favourite bought juices and see what mix they are, ask the supplier if need be, then copy that to start with. Make a small amount say 10ml and see how it vapes, you can always make more if you like it. There's a mix calculator on here but I tend to use this one for it's ease of use www.c9v-forum.com/Resources/Calc/calc.htmNot sure about the pen and paper thing Starter kit sounds quite good, I didn't do that myself but it sounds like an easy way to get going.

I myself just can't get along with protank type heads, leaking, gurgling the lot no matter how I coil or wick them, I gave up in the end and bought these www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301194671079?var=600257780897&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649I used these when I first started and they just work, never ever had a single issue, not as handsome as some but the effortlessness of them was just spot on. I use the kayfun myself now but the OH as well as friends all have the ego or evod type batteries and use the kanger type heads till recently, I got these for a friend and the OH and problems have all gone now. They vape really nice despite coming in at either 1.8 or 2.1 ohm heads. I usually sit on or below the 1 ohm with a mech but even I like those things.

Tbh I think it's safe enough and I think it's pretty dam gorgeous and would be very tempted but the only thing that has put me off is the companies reaction, it was way ott.
I also think 35 psi in a car tyre can be fatal but then a regular mountain bike tyre is usually around 50 psi but it's totally safe, must be something to do with the amount of air that makes it dangerous.

Thanks enjay, guess I will have to put up and shut up then. Can't afford a real one just now and I believe mine to be a Russian more than a kayfun lol The clones are great for trying out though I find, I started with the clone too, still got it in fact but like Dan the man I too fancied the quality etc from the real thing so took the plunge. I use it every day as my all day main vape so it's going to good use and even buying it genuine it is still saving me a fortune and I got my tobacco on the fly so it was only like £7 for a 50g pouch. That did only last me a couple of days mind so soon added up to a hell of a lot of money. If you like the clone and are getting on well with it you can always think about the real thing later when you have a spare cash.

Dan id the hcigar a 1:1 clone and more importantly, does it All the clones I've seen so far have been russians and all whistle but you can shove a piece of rolled up mesh in the air hole to shut them up a bit.

Anti whistle ball? What are you on about crazy loon If you remove the airflow grub screw from the base of a genuine kfl+, you will see a small green ball. Svoemesto put this in to stop the atty whistling.. Well I did not know that, never had the screw right out of mine lol

Just ask any vendor that sells them, I do that as they don't always tell you which variety it is. I've actually found a few good ones on ebay, also this shop is hard to find using google but it's really good for cheap but good quality. attackoftheclones.co.uk/index.php?id_product=8&controller=productSearch around though as you can often get them with the clear section too included.

The russian came along to compete with the kayfun lite, it was basically a clone but with air flow control, then kayfun released the kayfun lite plus which has replaced the kayfun lite.
The russian 91 is 91% of the size of something, either the full size russian or maybe the kayfun 3.1.
Regarding genuine I love my genuine kayfun lite plus and to me it is worth every penny, at around £75 including postage it does sound steep but then it's saved me a fortune in tobacco and health and it's problem free. The fill screw fits and doesn't seep for a start, the juice channels are spot on, all the threading is as it should be on a quality piece of kit.
Genuine russian can only be bought from Germany from my searching and costs more, has the air control screw in the side too, the genuine kafun lite plus is now a version 2 so has a better drip tip, the air control screw is on the bottom but it's best left wide open anyway imo.
If not going genuine I would at least recommend getting a half decent clone on this side of the pond, hcigar as mentioned a few times regarding clones is generally up there as one of the best for quality clones although I've had a lot of success with tobeco myself.

Bad influence? I just like to share what I learn lol Rewicked it today with a lot less cotton, Had a few problems filling kept coming out the drip tip but notice the o ring had not seated and hey presto its a steam engine in my hand Thankyou to everyone for there help and advise its much appreciated. Love the Kayfun Grandad It's always an air leak somewhere if the juice leaks, I used to think it was maybe a wick thing or that but no, every time I've ever had the slightest leak it's been a tank leak. Usually from dropping the thing but once when trying the top fill method, it unscrewed the chimney a little which screwed up the whole vacuum thing.

Nice one, personally love mechs and don't use anything else. If you're using higher ohm coils you should get decent battery life too with even the little 350's

i have heard that a vendor near me will begetting genuine kayfuns in for £30 ill let you know if it ever happens but when you get it right its is easy to od on the old nic so be careful i thinks im gona wick one with sillica for my all day vape as when im a work been caught out few times with nasty cotton Cloud 9 are the only retailer you'd get a genuine kayfun from in the UK. Can't see that changing anytime soon.. Won't be the genuine article for £30. No chance. Best clone by far is the H Cigar version. Can get them from vapegeek for £34.60 + p&p. if a kayfun whistles, it's most likely to be some sort of obstruction in the air intake. Even a bit of juice can cause a whistle. if it's a genuine lite +, it's also worth checking that the "anti whistle ball" is in place properly.. Anti whistle ball? What are you on about crazy loon
