Same here every year there would be a bulb blown and the ritual 'let's try and find out which one it is and replace it'. It was almost like a Xmas game all in itself. So last year we treated ourselves to one of those optical fibre ones. Put it up, switch it on and all go ....'aww thats pretty'. Lot less hassle

Well they managed to avoid being tortured with Whitney. I even threatened 'theres no one quite like grandma'. But we came to a compromise and I played Rage Against the Machine instead. Yes yes yes I know there are swear words in it and it was a Sunday afternoon but it was a very valid UK Xmas Day Number 1.

If you are anywhere near Broughton or Saltney then we probably have met!!! My Dad told me there is a pub for every day of the year inside the walls of Chester.
