Have you considered Mazdas? With the exception of the RX-8 they are super reliable and tend to be a really good drive too.  Didn't I have to push your car piddy to get it started!! (Mazda MX5)  Actually I've had a couple of Mazda 6's and Kathy has had a RX8 and a couple of MX5's They are GREAT cars I'm replacing mine next month but could not get another 6 on my companies budget I was gutted  Oh yeah at the BBC meet! Do you know, I changed the starter, got a new alternator and still was having issues. Turned out all I needed was a new battery. 20 years old and thats all that has ever gone wrong on the old girl. Taking her to get a new roof at the weekend to make sure she stays happy!
