Hi the panas I bought were recommended in your original SID thread linkThanks aliscampbell I've reread that thread and remember now why I didn't get the Panasonics. Perpetua posted that they left a gap between the cap and body. SID's threads are not the best and I was concerned that this would make them worse. So I'll carry on with what I've got using SID as a home only device. Looking to get 2 more devices so I'll have one for each tank. Waiting for Vapefest where it will be a hands on test.

I've just sold all my tanks and replaced them with 4 Nature Vape Midi Pro and 2 Mini Pro tanks. Nature Vape fit them with Kanger heads recoiled with a micro coil and cotton wool. I just change the cotton wool every couple of days. Coil has been used for 5 weeks so far and still looks good for a few more. www.naturevape.co.uk/

Thanks dave I'd found the Alba Vapours site and got the size from there before measuring. They want £1.80 for four 2 of which will probably be the size that are too loose. I can buy 100 of the right size for £2.48 plus VAT. However Alba Vapours are only about 12 miles away so I might pop over and check the fit and buy 10 of the right size.

Hi, what I meant 2 say was the 18650 battery type/make size, I'm using Panasonic 3400 mah which are slightly larger than some 18650s I use Sony VTC5 flat tops and Efest button top and they are a tight fit. When It cuts out I often have to shake it for the battery to slide out. When I next order batteries I'll try the Panasonics.

No Jerri I went into the purchase with low expectations. At the time it was all I had apart from my Evod starter kit and I was reluctant to be without it despite the fault. Been thinking about how I use it. Now I have more devices it tends to get used in rotation with the others. I think it might be temperature related as it seems to happen when I've found a flavour I like and have vaped so much that the tank gets very warm. I'm happy to keep it but won't buy another.

aliscampbell I've only got the 18650 tube and batteries so can't check. I've cleaned the battery contacts and tried flat & button top batteries without success. Do those of you that are satisfied with SID use them in 18650 mode?

Thanks VapingBad I'll give that a go as a temporary solution. Forgot to say they are 510 fitting.

I've done a search and waded through several pages of pic heavy posts and haven't found the answer.
I use delrin drip tips from various sources. They have different O Rings and some are loose.
I think I need 5 x 2mm and have found some on tinternet but before ordering would like to know if they are the right size. I've measured one of those that fit properly using my trusty steel rule but I know some of you have sooper dooper measuring kit so may give me a different size.
The site I've found sells them by the hundred so when I get them I'll reopen this thread and if anyone needs some post them on.

Before buying a SID I'd read lots of reports of them cutting out for no apparent reason. Several people on AAEC told me they had not had this problem so I bought one.
It's a nightmare. It cuts out and the battery has to be unscrewed and reconnected for it to work again.
I would never use it as an out & about device. It just gets used at home when rotating flavours.

It doesn't matter what level of charge the battery has. It cuts out at various levels. If it cut out at a certain level that wouldn't be a problem for me. I'd just check battery level and change it when it got close.

I had read about the 'cutting out' problem with the SID before I bought mine but went ahead after several SID owners told me they had never experienced this.
Well it's a total PITA. 5 times in a day finally drove me to buy a Provari. Yes it cost 5 times what I paid for SID but it works every time.

Mal replied to my classified post. I wanted payment by bank transfer but he only had 2 posts. I requested payment before delivery and the transaction went smoothly with good communication from Mal. If he buys from me again it will be payment after delivery.
Thanks Mal

Thanks Mal
So pleased you understood my request for payment by bank transfer before delivery because of you only having 2 posts. If we deal again that won't be necessary.

Neil bought some Kanger tanks from my first classified sale. I requested payment by bank transfer after delivery. Transaction went perfectly as I expected because of his excellent feedback reports.
Thanks Neil.

Thanks Neil for helping my first classified sale go so well. My son was here helping his old technophobe dad by taking the photo and getting it up on the website. We were both astonished by how fast you responded. As well as being a Vapaholic you must be a 'classies lurker'. See I'm getting the lingo.
