michnig iirc the upgrade thing on these is a whole different game to the smoks. Yihi have been doing software upgrade for a while now and I don't recall seeing a failed flash, other than peeps not understanding and trying to flash a file for a different board. I believe you can go to the yihi site and register for email notification for upgrades to your specific chip (but I can be wrong there) robby thanks for bringing this up, I couldn't be bothered trawling through the other thread for the link. It seems exactly the same as the other one - spec wise. For that reason, I'm IN!! *shopping*

I'm surprised there has been no mention of the plume veil. It's a fantastic little dripper with outstanding airflow options, a decent well and is a dream to build on. Id recommend to anyone. Not that there's anything wrong with the PV. I'm looking for alternatives, more options. The problem I have is there's just so many options that I'd rather go on the experience of others than select a few that just look like they'll do the job. It's turning into a proper shopping list |

Already ruled out the Mephisto. Liking the Mutation X V4 [yep] (was initially looking at the V3), and that Troll (mmm, 510?). The Marquis clone from FT looks good too.  I only wanted one, now looks like my next budget is going bye-bye! What do you mean by mmm, 510?  Not a problem. It's a minus for airflow compared with the fatter ones. But it's a plus because I can use my Nemesis drip tips to make a match top to bottom. Thinking aloud again |

I was considering buyin as I have a DIY mod with a broken hookey DNA in it. How under powered?Do you think it would keep up with a 1.5ohm build at about 4.2volts on an 18650? It was mentioned in the reviews for the 60w on FT about stacked batteries. You'll have no problem with that I reckon. It wasn't seriously underpowered, more short of breath. I don't think it's noticable until you get towards the lower ohms limit (FT state 1.0ohm, though it would fire a 0.5ohm coil) @ higher watts. |

Ripshod did you get any of these from FT? If so any good? Yes I did. It does work but honestly I'd say a little undepowered. Went straight into a V5 with a line of hot melt along the top edge of the board - it seems a couple of mm shorter. I thought it would, and it did. It got me wondering though, with it feeling underpowered. Does it need stacked batteries (7.4V) to output that top power? Couldn't be bothered looking up the spec. I even forgot this thread existed.  I've lost the spare  |
