Here is a tip that will save you cross threading anything ever again.
Before you screw on clockwise, go anti-clockwise first, until you feel a click, then start to screw it in clockwise. The click you will feel is the 2 threads finding their start point.

an IMR (Li-Mn) You wont find an IMR with protection as they don't need it. Ecoluxshop Probably the efest would be best.

after reading all the confidential information on the site I would definitely buy these batteries myself I take it this is about the Panasonic NCR 18500, so you like both the Sibeile 18500 & Panasonic 18500 then I think the NCR is a no go because of the low amp limit and what safety features it had. ronaldo had mentioned xtar previous to that post so I imagine he had looked at that site. ???

hijack I found this NCR 18500 data sheet it does say some batteries are not equipped with PCT There's a post by baditude in this thread with more info. Although it's 2000mah the rating is only 3.8 amps so a bit on the limit for me. Cheers ronaldo I might just get a couple of both the AWT and Sibeile to give them a try. Thanks for the links scoob, I had found that not all NCR's are the same, some have HRL others have HRL+PCT and others have HRL+PCT+CID or some combination of those. So its worth finding out before you buy. Ill check out those links now.
Edit: yes just on the low amp limit I would avoid the NCR18500.

If I was looking for 18500's I might be tempted to try those AWT's on paper they look good. Although the NCR's are li-ion they do have some built in passive protection in the form of (HRL)Heat resistant layer and (PTC) positive temperature coefficient NCR 18650The HRL is supposed to prevent overheating in short situations and the PTC makes the internal resistance spike upwards before it heats up dangerously. But I haven't looked to see if that NCR has all those features.

Just to say, you don't need to microcoil protank heads for a cotton build. As long as the coil spacing is close enough to provide structural integrity for threading cotton through, it worky. Ruffie. I do a similar thing with my Penelope as it uses nr-r-nr wire, I have some 1.8 pre-made wires, and if you've ever seen them the wire is very thin. I just twist 2 of them together and wrap them around a former then twist the cotton and thread it through. It works pretty well and you can space the wire once its in place so the gaps between the wraps are even.

Google is your friend when you are somewhere you don't know. Just do a search of 'e-cigs Outer Hebrides' and im sure there will be something within 100 miles.

Hi FyneModsI wanted to get a Penelope RBA gold plated. I already mirror polished it as you can see, but its probably not to your standard. Could you PM me with a price? Also do you check them over before plating in case it needs a better finish or do they get plated in the condition that you receive them?

thatguy they had something similar on VTTV. Dave reviewed this white thing that worked the same way, using tobacco. If you haven't seen it, its worth watching. I couldn't stop laughing when Dave was trying to get a puff out of it. Watching Dave trying to get anything out of it is hilarious.
But on a serious note, I agree with @johanino having these things come onto the market is going to re-enforce peoples perception that vaping is just smoking in another form. I just hope that it works so badly that it disappears very quickly as a complete failure.

Yes if you screw it on finger tight then use something with a flat edge, like in the pic above, and give it a 1/4 turn to tighten it down, it should stay on so it doesn't unscrew when you take the tank off. If it unscrews every time you take the tank off, then the airflow will continue to ware out the threads just like the tanks have.

Ive tested the votage drop across several mods SS, copper and brass and all come in around the 4.1* V so your talking a few hundreths of a volt difference.
So one hitting like a train over another, I cant see.
More resistance is caused from dirty contacts than the material used.
