Anyone got a resistance checker lying around that they don't need?
EDIT: completed... got a cheapo multimeter off ebay, should do the job.

Cheers folks, I plan to be using the RDA on a 26650 mod and like the look of the Manbo 26650; as it gives me options for a single, duel or quad build (not at the moment Mrs....) and Todd's review of it was pretty good so might splash the cash on one of those - like I haven't spent enough already this month.... Wait till tomorrow... new month, new spend limit!!!

The Giant is 30mm. The Mega 22mm. I say go for it. It might not be the 'best' way to spend £70, but it's your birthday, spoil yourself!!! leoAhhh thanks Leo, so with the Mega + Provari Beauty Ring (or Hippo) the diameters will be the same and I'll get the "smooth look"? Just make sure you post pics when you've got it all together!!

So what's the difference between the Mega & the Giant? The Giant is 30mm. The Mega 22mm. I say go for it. It might not be the 'best' way to spend £70, but it's your birthday, spoil yourself!!!

Because it's too flimsy so microcoils aren't very robust especially if you rewick every couple of days and the the resistance is too high unless your dual coiling but if it works for you crack on. It's also far easier to wrap with a micrcoil with thicker rather than thinner kanthal. It may have it uses for some but it's less than ideal for someone just starting out with microcoils which I believe the OP to be or he wouldn't be asking the question Tease-smiley Greg.. I'm not having a pop here, but this is opinion dressed up as fact. The resistance of 0.2mm is not "too high", it is exactly what it's supposed to be. (Which will either suit you or not, depending on what you are building - as you point out, it's pretty useful for dual coils esp. on vv/vw mods). Neither is 0.2mm "too flimsy", it's not hard to build a microcoil with 0.2mm (if I can do it, anyone can!). Yes, it is probably easier with 0.3+, but surely the resistance is the more important thing here? Cheers.

I have changed the 0.2 to 0.25 as 0.2 is not much good for microcoils. Why not? ???

I'll put a vote in for the Fogger v4, £20, meets all your requirements, plus it's easy to build. Gives tons of flavour and vapour.
I have a kfl+v2 clone coming that should be here any day now, looks like a great bit of kit, but can't really comment vs the fogger.
The Fogger is easily my best purchase so far!! Cheers

I'm not sure about percentages either, it's just a guestimate based on my experience so far. I used Mini Protank 2's and a Protank 2 with afc for the first couple of months that I was vaping. Rebuilding coils, wicking with silcone, wicking with cotton, playing with different flavour wicks, modifying the silicone grommet on the chimney (or leaving it off altogether), on ego's, spinners, and my Vamo, and even at their best they don't hold a candle to my fogger v4. In my experience what you put on the battery makes a much bigger difference to vapour production and flavour than the type of battery/mod you are using. But, as we all know, this is such a personal business, that what works for one, will not necessarily work for another. OP's question was about vapour production (and he described the exact limitations of Kanger products as I have experienced) I don't think there can be much opposition to the statement that the best vapour production will come from an RBA/RDA (especially when compared to anything with a Kanger head in it). Don't get me wrong, a PT can give a decent vape (they got me off the stinkies, so good enough)... but they are certainly not the last word in vapour production. All the best, Leo

Sounds like OP's experience of Kanger tanks is similar to Rip Trippers: first couple of vapes are fine, Plenty of vapour and then every vape after that hardly any vapour :-(. Leave it for half an hour. Then vape and same issue again. First couple vapes are fine and then hardly any vapour after. Skip to 1:22 for his experience of what OP describes Obviously vaping is an extremley personal experience, and there is no single 'right' answer (far too many variables for that), but OP, in my experience a Protank will give 50-60% the vapour (& flavour) of a decent RBA, regardless of what device it's on. (aaand... it should be noted that for a lot of people, the vape that a protank provides, is exactly what they are looking for) Of course, if you are using an ego you have to keep your ohms at a sensible level, but do that and an ego can provide a perfectly decent vape (with an atty that can keep up with your vaping habits - especially if you are chain vaping). If you watch that video you'll notice that Rip Trippers is using some pretty high end hardware, yet still experiencing the same issues. I find it hard to believe it's a battery problem. But obviously OP is free to take as much, or as little, advice as he likes from this thread.

although, I've never tried LT ecigs e liquids, so can't comment on how they vape 1) shame... I thought it was a no-brainer to try them sooner or later. When I've made a dent in the near 300ml's of Joose Juice in my fridge, I'll give 'em a go!!!

Citrus flavours can be a bit hard on the throat (and tank, but your's is glass, so no worries there).

The liquid might be a bit too fresh... they are usually smoother after they have had a chance to 'steep' in a cupboard for a week or two. although, I've never tried LT ecigs e liquids, so can't comment on how they vape Could be that the tank is providing more vapour than you are used to. But, yes, try with one of your old liquids and see how that tastes.
