My only pointer is the kanthal is 0.2mm, people will think you're a crazy cloud chaser if you say you're using 2mm kanthal. You knew what I meant I only have little hands but I am not delicate (and I am cack handed to boot!) and I did find it fiddly, but I am sure it would have been a bit easier if I could have been arsed to walk to the other room to get my specs It has definately given me the confidence to go for an RDA/RTA as making the coils was something I wondered if I could do and now I know I can!

I know most of you are very experienced but can you remember when you made your first coil and it worked? Well that’s me today I was just looking at the wire and thought I’ll give it a quick try and did 9 wraps of 32AWG 2mm around a 1.4mm precision screwdriver (bought a set for £1 in morrisons this morning) a bit fiddly to get it back in the head, think I will need my specs next time, but it went in and I put it on to my istick and it showed as 2.9ohm. In my excitement to put it in a tank I forgot to put the chimney post on so after I had cleaned up and got it in the mini protank 2, I fired it up and it worked Its a bit higher that I normally vape but I made it and it works I also rewicked a mini vivi nova with some cotton yarn and that is vaping lovely so won’t get chucked to the back of the cupboard. All in all a good day and all thanks to AAEC for the wonderful guides on here

The Squape R is probably the easiest RBA on the market at the moment. Do you have a recommendation for a clone or am I going to have to save up? I have a feeling I will have to save up if I want the red one icon_shoppingm

I'd suggest the Squape R for an RBA as its one of the easiest to coil and comes with a glass tank as standard Obviously a clone is much much cheaper if you can but one on recommendation. NO NO NO, how do I un see something? A RED Squape R is now on my must have list (can’t find waggy finger smiley) naughty naughty boy icon_shoppingm

It would be easier to ask what juices I don’t vape and that is tobacco and coffee . I am trying as many as I can and mixing my own. Generally dessert, mint, sweets but trying most things. I just worry that I would forget and put the wrong juice in but I suppose I have managed so far not to crack anything so maybe I could forgo the glass which would offer me more choice, not necessarily a good thing

Wow, lots to look at so far. I was asking for a glass tank so I don’t have to worry about what juice I put in and it cracking, how do peeps get on with the non glass tanks? Is it a major problem or not?

Ok folks, I have decided that I want to start making my own coils so the stuff is on order. I will be re-coiling my evods and protanks. If I am feeling brave I may even try the nautilus BVC’s Whilst I am getting the hang of this I want to look at rebuildables to move on to once I have mastered re coils! I would like an RTA preferably with a pyrex tank, doesn’t have to be too big a tank, and I would also like an RDA to try too. I will be using them on my eleaf istick so nothing too wide. Not sure on budget yet, depends what you all suggest but preferably not too much as this place always costs me a fortune So ladies and gents, if you please, hit me with your simple starter options which will give me a taster of the dark art of rebuildables (and no doubt get me hooked to spend more money ) Thank you muchly. I am a day ahead of you, mine is a month old on 23rd, can’t wait. I am actually impressed that I have only been smelling it up to now. I have a custard milkshake to try on the same day!
