It is more than likely the pin on the atty that has caused the short.

I bought a 454 Big Block RDA but so far I have not had much success with getting the setup right. I followed a few Youtube videos but once I set it up it is a bit disappointing in terms of vapour production. I will keep at it but any tips would be useful. In my experience with drippers so far vapour production goes hand in hand with airflow. I was also disappointed when I started out dripping, but when you get a nice build it's worth the effort. What device are you using it on? If you are on a mech you won't see big clouds until you get your resistance down to the .5 and under range. DISCLAIMER: if you are going to sub-ohm on a mech make sure you know your ohms law and do your homework re battery safety Having said that, 0.3-0.5 should give you nice big clouds and tons of flavour. Try and get your air flow coming in under the coils (haven't seen the 454 so not sure of the build - but focus on your airflow. Wicking should be less of a problem in a dripper as long as your cotton isn't too tight in your coil, and your wicks aren't blocking your airflow. Don't get me wrong.. with the right setup you will get decent clouds single coil at 0.8-0.9, but for big clouds I find around 0.3 to be good. If you go that low I would only really recommend Sony VTC4 or 5's Drippers can be a faff to start with, but once you get used to them it's hard going back to a tank. If you haven't read it yet, Hijack did an excellent guide to battery safety. Thanks for the info. I only use VTC4, VTC5 and Efest Purple batteries. I will probably be using the dripper on a Vaporshark rDNA.

To be truthful I think it is one of the best engineered drippers that I have seen. Building it is reasonably easy but I think my problem is wicking.
