I had a chat with Gill about it today and explained why the charges have been applied even although the items were not bought. If I remember correctly there is an option for paying the duty up front in the USA perhaps MtBakerVapor should have used that service which would have seen the competition winners receive their prizes without the expense. I was unaware that was even a possibility. I will definitely look into that.

Yeah, the customs issue was definitely something that we overlooked. We will brainstorm how to circumvent that for future contests. Perhaps we will move to a store credit based contest winner for international customers? We'll look into the logistics on our end to see all what we can and cannot do. We don't want to deprive any of you guys.

Reason # 576 I am thankful for vaping.... I don't have to go outside all the time now that the weather has gone cold.

It was wonderful to win the prize mtbakervapor...but unfortunately I cannot afford the nearly £18 customs charge which I received by letter today...so I suspect it will be winging its way back to you Bloody hell Agreed

Congratulations Gill2009 for being our first contest winner! Contest theme- Guess how many bottles of e-juice mt baker vapor sold on average per day from 1/1/2014 - 10/31/2014. Happy guessing! It was wonderful to win the prize mtbakervapor...but unfortunately I cannot afford the nearly £18 customs charge which I received by letter today...so I suspect it will be winging its way back to you That's crazy. I didn't know that was going to happen. Crazy! I would be happy to put a credit on your MBV account for the equivalent in US for future orders. Unfortunately, there's no way for me to take care of it any other way. Let me know if that will help.

Happy Thursday Vape Fans! We have made some changes to our freebie policy and added a sample pack option that will go live on 11/9/2014. Check out our blog for the details. We are working towards a more efficient process and although there are a few negative sides to this change it allows us to provide a sample for testing flavors to every customer now, rather than those who spend over $15. Again we understand that there are some negative aspects to this change, however the change is allowing us to develop new ideas that will serve our customers better in the long run.

I think 1 thing that would really benefit both community and vendor is having propper easy to follow instructions for devices not bad chinglish translations in particular mech mods and battery safety. So many vendors here in the UK sell junk or have no idea how to use devices safely. I was in a local b&m shop 2 weeks back and was asking about the dripper he was selling ( didn't want it but was checking them out ) the guy would have sold me a mech mod a trust fire battery 18490 size and said it was safe with a 0.2 ohm coil. At that point I had a few words with said shop owner not all of them polite! OMG. Thank goodness you knew better than to run with that. Okay, the battery safety is definitely on the list of things we're working on. I like having a lot of research and verifiable information when I have posts submitted, so we're in the research stage, but definitely something I agree needs to be out there.

Great article as always . Thank you. We are working on a battery safety blog as well, and within the next few weeks will start looking at regulations, both good and bad. I think we all agree that selling to minors, and quality control regulations are not a bad thing. They would actually help keep the community safer. It's finding that sweet spot that we really want to focus on. Enough, but not to much.

Have a few great guesses so far. Keep 'em coming! What fun things did everyone do for Halloween this year? I turned into a vaping skeleton faced fool - do I win a prize lol -
Love the vaping skeleton. My appreciation should be all the prize you need, right?
