Hi mrsmac and a belated welcome from me too. I expect you already feel overloaded with advice - I know the feeling from when I recently started! If I understand you right, you are thinking of getting a cheap automatic 510 battery to put your toe in the water . Here is one from a very helpful vendor who is highly thought of on here: www.vapeescape.co.uk/510-battery-%28automatic%29~22Jason also does a suitable USB charger: www.vapeescape.co.uk/510-usb-charger-for-mini-510-batteries~211On the same website you will also find blank 510 cartomisers (the Boges are very good) and for some tasters of excellent juice, you won't go far wrong with their Grizwalds pick 'n' mix pack to try them out. As people have already said, the automatics like this one don't last long between charges and you would soon get used to the manual batteries. They are twice the price but last about 5 times as long. Hope this is helpful If you are stuck on something looking like a traditional cig, I'd go with Dave's suggestion. But really, the Riva 1100 is the shnitz www.vapeescape.co.uk/the-riva-1100-deluxe-kit-%5Bideal-for-beginners%5D~151 great battery, and quite versatile. Check out all the vendors in allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=suppliers&thread=2&page=1#2 and get the discount code it will add up. Sorry if this breaks any forum rules, and feel free to move and/or edit but Jason at vapeescape has been great and I have had good personal experience with cloud9. Andrew

If the numbers on the tickets have anything to do with it, business is pretty good Jason

oh and.... Since stopping smoking, almost a month now, I have saved £201. Since starting vaping, almost a month now, I have spent £198 I have saved £3.00 I know that I will save money vaping next month, as my wife has been quite supportive that I have stopped smoking and has not cut me off from my cigarette money, but, that will have to change now. I had problems with a couple of e-power 18650s' that I had bought from LF, not their fault, at the mercy of the manufacturer, it was easier to take a store credit from them which turned into juice and other such items and a red Little Gem Sidewinder that I have ordered a couple of 18500 batteries for www.cloud9vaping.co.uk/epages/yxve46fvrnud.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/yxve46fvrnud/Products/B63-12 as I read a post somewhere by Garry Dibley that this with LR cartos was what he suggested. Also I took Perpetua's advice to look for a mechanical mod for the 18650s' and got me a Rough Stack V2 www.ecigwizard.com/shop/en/roughstack-mod/326-roughstack-mod.html which, I'm not sure is what she meant by mechanical, but this bad boy is my new best friend. Also very well constructed and looks like something I can stick on a wellhead if we ever run into problems offshore Then there are the Riva batteries I ordered, the extra charger, the PG, the Cloud9 NEAT54 Mixing Liquid, some stainless steel LR cartos 'cause they will look the shnitz on the Rough Stack and the...... its out of hand at this moment in time. But I'm done for now, I think, sort of, just need to work out what to mix up. Oh one last thing Dave, have you checked out Prof Beard's blog? there is a enough stuff and info there I'll end up wanting to try that will fill a Punto Is there a date & location yet for 2012 Vapefest?

Dave, I ordered the above from Jason on Saturday along with www.vapeescape.co.uk/306lr-atomiser~217just to give it a try. Going to try my hand at some mixology thought it the best way to try my creations over the holidays.
