Mine turned up today too. Thanks Daz, even though you're just up the road really. Very impressed with it so far.

Ordered 2. Just need wick and wire and a multimeter and I'll never have to buy a carto again. Assuming I like them.
Sue - most likely yes, but on the off chance they're not, you can get a gadget to convert 510 (riva) to official Ego fittings, called a 510/ego adaptor. Many stockists.

If you're drinking really a lot and much more tired than usual, it is worth seeing a doc just to be sure. It's probably nothing, but with these 2 symptoms your doc will prob test you for diabetes.

Thanks. The guy in the vid used 0.2mm I think (32 awg), but I still don't know what it's made of - stainless steel perhaps? Sorry if I'm being dim.

There are many sorts of wire. How do I specify the wire that's needed for the coil? What it's made of, or resistance per metre or whatever.

True, but as the ingenue remarked to the clergyman, it depends how full it is, and also on the angle of dangle.

Assuming they ever come into stock somewhere, I'd like to get a couple of these, so please consider me interested if someone decides to do a groupbuy for wick and wire, as I have no idea how to specify the right bits.
Also, when re-wicking, is it a daft idea to make the wick long enough to reach near the bottom of the tank? It seems akin to trying to drink from a glass with a straw that's too short to reach the bottom.

It works out I'm spending somewhere between a quarter and a third of what I was spending on tobacco over the whole period of four months or so, and of course the time saved by not wheezing and coughing. I can mostly avoid expensive toys (seriously tempted by the LT, but that will have to wait). If you're determined to cut out costs you can save a bundle and still get decent kit.

Jason has some black 1000mAh Ego batts (they have the same attachment). Slightly more expensive than Rivas. I'll be corrected if I'm wrong but I think the difference between Egos and Rivas is that Egos have regulated voltage whereas Riva voltage falls away slightly as the charge depletes. A couple of those and 5 cartos would cost roughly the same as the Riva kit, so it's not quite the bargain. But style costs. As I know only too well.

Hi Sue & Welcome
I bought an ego T kit when I started, but moved on to cartomisers mainly due to the cost. Tanks are much easier to manage, but the flavour of ego Ts is lacking in comparison.
If you're determined to go for a tank and don't mind being a bit of a guinea pig, you might look at ego Cs, which are a big improvement over the Ts in flavour, so much so that I have given up cartos for the moment.
Because they are a new product, unlike say the Riva, you may find it harder to find supplies for ego C. I'm not clear when I'll be getting my next batch of atomisers or how much they will end up costing.
But if you want to play safe either Ego or Riva batts with cartomisers are a good bet imo. I would give ego Ts a miss purely due to high cost of ownership and flavour. Maybe think about ego Cs or IMists to go with your batteries when you've found your feet. You can afford to experiment at a later date because it's all so much cheaper than fags.
As long as you have 2 batts (900maH+ preferably), some cartomisers and some nice juice you'll do OK.
Good luck whatever you choose.

While it's pretty easy to recommend good basic kit, juices seem to be more difficult. Your tastebuds mess you around for the first month or so anyway. I'd say if you've got juice you like, get some more, but also get hold of a pick'n'mix selection of little bottles with a variety of flavours. If you wish you had more of a particular little bottle, that's a clue. I normally change flavours two or three times a day. I started off with tobacco flavours but now I almost exclusively get fruit flavours. I've also tried dessert flavours, menthol and various tobaccos. Nobody can tell you what you like, only what they like. Try a few out.
