Thanks decoy, I will give that a go tomorrow although a 1.4 I tried was too hot so maybe I'll lower the coil. That's the thing with rebuildables, you can get the perfect build...until you have to rebuild again and something goes out of sync!

Me again so I am having an ongoing kayfun problem so much so that I retired my kayfuns for 2 weeks and tried again tonight. The problem is using the kayfun, I have had to reduce the nicotine from 12mg and am currently trying 7mg. My juice is a fruity flavor which are not known for plenty throat hit but at 70/30 pg/vg even at 7mg in a protank with microcoil I get a good hit but in the kayfun I get zero, it's like vaping air! I have tried adjusting airflow, raising the coil and shortening the coil from the deck and no real change apart from the warmth of the juice. My coil is 1.7 ohms and I'm a bit reluctant to go lower as I don't like the warmth it brings. Am I to resign to a tickly vape? Or is there anything else I can try? Any help appreciated Tia x

The recent posts are worrying but just want to it my tuppence worth here. Myepack have been my go to vendor for hardware since I returned to vaping this year and I have spent what to me is a small fortune at the store. The majority of my good have been spot on and are still in us to this day, prices and speed of delivery are excellent. I had one problem with an aerotank and that was resolved instantly and the other with the kayfun clone The kayfun issue was more about the quality of the product itself; communications were slow but they did happen.
One thing I have learned is to contact Myepack, you are best doing it by telephone after 3pm, that seems to be when Ash is around, if you are returning an item, send it recorded and call the next day to see if it has been received.
Both of my issues were sorted to satisfaction and I have used them since but I empathise with those having issues contacting them as that IMHO is not always easy and needs to be looked at especially as there are so many having thi problem

I make my own coils Mrsmac and find that when they are brand new they taste a bit strange, I can't describe it but they make red astaire taste funky, this funky taste lasts from half a dozen pulls to a tank full before they settle in, changing the wick (cotton wool for me) brings some of the funky taste back but not as much and not for as long. Micro-coils are really worth persevering with though as they are, in my opinion the best and cheapest way to get a decent vape. Same here but i am by no means as good as others at it so thought i would try the coils of those who have been making them longer than me lol I think maybe i am just used to my own set up using .28 kanthal at 1.8ish ohms and the old adage of if it aint broke dont fix it lol Funny i dont get a bad taste even with a new coil when i make them. I think i am just sensitive to the nr-r-nr wire

Going to try the coil with a different juice tonight to see if that is the problem but i definately think it is down to the coil itself that i am tasting. If i cant get on with it, the two i have will have to move on. I have also two of Jonco's coils that i got for comparisson as they are a decent price and i also use a guy on ebay who does 2 microcoils for 99p and they are always good. Me thinks I am not being cost effective as i keep changing the actual coils before they are done with

I dunno why, but i am always facinated and watch threads about NV. I brought a coil earlier this year and just couldnt get on with it, it made my juice taste harsh and well...strange so i PIF. With all the recent talk and debate about their coils and the general concensus that they are better than even a diy coil I thought I would try them again. Received my coils x2 yesterday, this time i ordered the aerotank ones. Fired it up last night. The taste was again off, I dunno if it is my juice or wick, so I changed the wick this morning to a rayon wick and it still tastes off! I know this is not common and more than likely user error but I am wondering if there is a coil bed in time or if I am just sensitive to the taste of the wire. Will try another juice maybe but for me, if it continues to taste like this for me, then no matter how perfect the coil or how long they last, i may have to pass
