Just clicked FT for Clouper mini. Unfortunately also sub tank mini caught my eye and by accident clicked that as well!
Will apologise to PayPal for my naughty excesses tomorrow and hide all relevant from HID!!

Hi folks
I decided to get a vv/vw mod that will take the usual 18650 batteries. Ordered 4 Samsung 25Rs and a Nitecore charger as advised by others on the forum - delivered and on my desk somewhere under the mess. I also ordered the Authentic Pioneer4You iPV Mini 5-30W from Fast Tech which was a reasonable $49 - the sort of price I was looking at for my first foray into this arena. However, after 6 weeks waiting Fast Tech returned my money stating that these mods have been discontinued and my order cancelled!!!
So got batteries, charger but no mod! Have you got any recommendations of a vv/vw or vw box mod in this sort of price range? Apart from
Clouper mini's seem to start fires - or has this changed recently.
Smowell DPV-50's seem to have screwing problems (fnar fnar).
KangerTech KBOX 8 - limited variable wattages

For my penny worth - tried Heisenberg (gave it straight away to the dustbin and had to scrub my tank and change wick to get rid of the taste  ). Northern Lights - Bomb Bombz my ADV but still a Red Astaire virgin. I saw a post where RA (red/colourless) tasters were reasonably priced - any links? Again different folk - different taste. Similar note CAMRA real ale tasting - Wantsum Yellow Tail - me and others = foul metallic taste, another group = lovely honey beer. All our tastebuds are tuned differently! Still love the views from you all |

Many apologies for missing Saturday night - unfortunately got caught up with the six nations at a local club starting at 12.30 for the first match and finishing just after 7.00 for the end of the England match. Probably would have disgraced myself if I had got there!!   Will have to kidnap Lairey at the next one for Lemo probs. Glad you had a good night - sorry to hear that the venue may not carry on. Can offer 2 vape friendly pubs in Bromley though. |

Will try that when I get back. I started off fully open but still got no taste and very airey. Will wind back the airflow and try again. Perhaps drop nic level as well.
Will also kidnap Lairey at next LSE meeting (bring a change of clothes and cookies) :-D

Thanks for reply. Yes pre juiced, filled and stood for an hour. Persevered for about an hour but could only cope with a few short puffs at a time without my eyes watering. Then I rewicked from purchased wick (not burnt) with jap cotton and same thing. Perhaps this type of vaping is not for me I guess. But disillusioned really.

Just got my long awaited Lemo drop and re wicked the stock 1.0ohm coil with Japanese cotton donated by another lovely forum member. Pre juiced it with 60/40 20mg Norther lights which I happily vape in Nautilus mini (1.8ohm) and Aerotank (1.5ohn) between 8 and 10w.
Loaded the Lemo up and stuck it on my iStick (that's another thread:-)) at 9w vaped away and nearly fell on the floor choking and head exploding (ok bit exaggerated). Compared to what I am used to this was a very hot vape, choking throat hit, little vape and no flavour. Additionally I did severely reduce air flow since I am a mouth to lung ex smoker. Glad I didn't go for a lung hit!!!
Am I doing something wrong or is this the nature of the beast?
