Finally got round to looking at the fix and I've got it working. The top part, the black piece that surrounds the 510 and bulb is just stuck on, and there's 4 screws underneath for a simple breakdown. Punched the old 510 out and a little dremel work got a new one to fit, looks very good. Struggled again with the soldering, tinning the new iron was a nightmare to start with but eventually got it sorted (must practice more).

Makes me want to squonk lol. Bought one of the cheapo Chinese one for about £15 to try out, haven't bothered opening it yet only had it a month or so.
