Take a look at that... www.thealchemistscupboard.co.uk/page/steepingThe steeping duration, depends on your juice... fruity ones might be ready within a couple of days, sweet ones take about a couple of weeks and smokey ones about a couple of months... personally, if the solvent of my concentrates is alcohol, I take off the lids usually for 3-5 hours... if not, no need for that... what i do, is give them a gently shake for a long time, until I see bubbles in the liquid, take off the lid, let the juice rest for an hour, shake it again and store it in a dark and chilled place... doing the very same thing for as long as I think it will take it to be ready.... in the meanwhile, I am driping a bit of it, just to see if it's ready or not... |

Personally never used ultrasonic apart of cleaning bits and would be the last thing I would use to steep any liquid... Same thing as a microwave... Most of the times, in our effort to shorten processes we might destroy our liquids, especially if we do not know why we wanna do something and how we can do something... In case you decide to use ultrasonic process, all you have to take care is the temperature of the water... try to keep it warm and not hot... also the duration of the whole process, you have to know for how much time you will use it... and the worst thing of every steeping method (except one) is that there is no return in what you do... for example using higher temperature it will definitely degrade nicotine, plus your liquid probably go off (depending on the concentrates you will use)... in case you really need something that will speed your process, this could be a stirrer (under some circumstances, a thermal one), in case you do not want to stir it yourself... the better way of steeping is time... plus you have a better control of the ageing of your liquid (checking it and tasting it every couple of days, so you know exactly when your liquid has reached its best condition)... you can also check out www.thealchemistscupboard.co.uk/page/steeping there's plenty of useful information... |

Dear peter12 so far, I haven't noticed anything like that!!! On the contrary, is one of the most friendly and sincere forum even been. But we are human, and at the back of our head sometimes tricky things happening... especially with all this current crazy and bizarre situation in Greece And to be honest, I would hesitate myself...  That was the main reason I made that post, to clarify that just in case someone is hesitating, for any reason, I can first send it myself and then we work about the payment...
