could anyone suggest Uk based supplier of a new mod?
the ones listed i do like the look of but want something this week not next month..
i nearly got the vamo v7 as they are available in this country.. but thought i would ask in here again for suggestions on a mod..
im on a tight ass budget so i know that will limit my options.. this is why i went with the vamo last time. cheap as chips and for the money couldnt get better.. £25 for what it does is a bargain.. but if there is something else out there around the same money.. £40 tops i will give it a go.

i currently use the vamo V4.. was looking at the V5 as it now goes up to 20w rather than 15w.. the price is right and it does what it says on the tin..
any other mods you recommend that do similar with out breaking the bank..

No, the wire thickness, wraps and ohms affect the coil only. However you use them to increase ramp up time of the coil and the amount of wick covered. A low ohm coil will heat quickly and if it's a big coil covering big surface area then the amount of vapour will increase. The strength of the vape is determined by the liquid. I suspect that the coils is generating more vapour than you are used to and this is why you are experiencing the symptoms that you describe. Counter this by turning the power down. hi, thanks for the reply... i appreciate the strength doesnt change.. 1.8% is 1.8% no matter what angle the dangle.. i worded it badly.. its as you said,, probably producing more vapour and im inhaling more than im used to.

when i first started building my own coils and getting into the darker side of vaping i purchased all sorts of kanthal, wick etc..
i have just used for the first time some 0.25mm wire and wrapped it 10 times ( think it was 10 ) to get 1.7 ohms. on my vamo v5 its pulling 2.7amps at 12w does the wire thickness, wraps and ohms effect the strength of the vape? cause the nicotine is making my head spin and toes curl up to my knees.

When i went from the kanger pro tank mini to the kayfun 3.1 i had to drop the Nicotine strength from 24 to 18...
now on the v4 i might have to drop it again..
my usual vapes taste completely different and blowing my head off.

Is it genuine or a clone? In theory sealing off the juice flow and then blowing through it should clear out the chamber but I NEVER have to do this with mine and use it every day. Have you tried experimenting with your wick? I use a thick wedge of Muji, loosely in both sides and I haven't had a single drop leak on me since I've owned it. Other members also have had juice leak if they leave it upright for a period of time with the juice flow open. Again I haven't had this issue, I either have sussed the wicking out or I'm just arsehole lucky hey.. its a clone wanted to try it as it was cheeeep will probably get the genuine as im already in love with it. have just stripped re built and i must have done something wrong the first 7 times, as its been a dripless vape this time.. kinda pleased cause i was getting through Juice like crazy.

chuxsta watch this video especially from 12.00mins in. Make sure your wicks cover "ALL" 4 holes on the deck. www.toddsreviews.com/2014/11/the-kayfun-v4.htmlThis should solve your leaks problem. n.b. Always "close" juice control when not in use. Enjoy, it will takes time to get "YOUR" sweet spot. thanks for the vid link.. have lost count how many i have watched, thats the first one i enjoyed and kind of pooled all the bits i have picked up and combined them in a simple way.

As mentioned i had ordered one of these puppies.. arrived at work midday, spent 3 hours taking it to bits and trying to put it back together. I love to know how things work rather than just use them until they dont work. have a couple of questions for other Kayfun 4 owners, experts.. after getting my head around how the whole thing works and mastering the juice control i proceeded to start using it. after filling with juice and turning the juice control to the on position im not seeing any small bubbles start filtering through. i was lead to believe that this is supposed to happen. i also get a bit of leakage to start with.. would i be correct in thinking that if the juice control is off and i blow down the drip tip ( is that the correct term? ) i should get a small amount of juice come out of the air holes while it emtpys whats in the chamber until eventually nothing comes out... this would prove the juice control and seals are all working. and when in the on position if i blow again it will poor out of the air holes?

hey there.. everything your saying i can relate to 100% the cheepy ecig things sold in the average corner shops and other places now are a great way to find out if you like vaping.. but you soon start to get pissed off with them and back on the fags.. i too went to a kanger tank and a better battery along with some really nice flavours.... i have to admit i smoked the odd roll up at certain times but used the e cig the rest of the time.. i then switched to a rebuildable device and a mod ( battery ) with full control over the power.. havent touched a fag in over 8 months, and was a heavy smoker for over 25 years. but the bottom line is well done and stick with vaping.. one definite top tip for the stage your at is have spares of EVERYTHING... if something dies, runs out or breaks and you only have the one of them the only other option is a pack of smokes.. i fell over so many times due to not having juice, spares, batteries etc. Juice I have plenty of the thing I wasn't prepared for is that the coils don't seem to last very long. I'm waiting on some for the Protank mini to arrive. One is tasting burnt and the other doesn't seem to give much vapour off at all now but tastes fine. I'm determined not to go back to Ciggies no matter what even if I have to try and set fire to my juice and inhale it that way lol. If your a heavy smoker like me you will get through the coils at a rate.. you have two options.. the first is to wash them, pop them in a cup and poor boiling water over them and give them a good stir and swill round.. leave to soak over night or at least a couple of hours. shake off excess water and pat dry with towels or similar. leave to dry naturally. you will get a couple more days out of each one.. or buy some kanthal a1 wire and wick and rebuild the ones you have purchased, its a bit fiddly at first but you soon get the hang of it. instead of paying £5+ for a pack of 5 it will cost you about 10p per coil to do yourself. ( if you decide to take this option there is a bit more to it but ask on here and you will get plenty of help. ) this will then get you interested in the stage im now at. a fully rebuild-able rig, lots of fun and lots of help out there now from forums like this.

Hi chuxsta and If you like the KF, have you thought about a Lemo? thanks for that, just had a look at the lemo,, looks very similar to the kayfun... i would have defiantly considered that if i hadn't just ordered the kayfun 4.

looking at it logically chuxsta as you have done, there seems no reason for it. User errors that cause a burn taste I can think of are: Excessive power to the coil, long legs overheating, tightly packed wick in the evaporation chamber, blocked grooves, no liquid in tank , tight or loose coils round wick and vaping while lying down. Blocking the air hole as you have done to induce juice flow proves it's air tight, if it wasn't that would cause the opposite, leakage. It's a mystery, but the consolation is that once you get used to the v4 you'll love it. even though i shouldnt need to change things i have, i reduced the amount of wick, changed the type of coil, adjusted the wattage, as you mentioned all the obvious things that cause a wick to burn out... think i was hoping someone else had exact same problem and had solved it. but as you say the V4 is enroute.. cant wait.. after reading up about it i love the fact it addresses all the things that were wrong with the 3.1... i love it when they release a new version that actually is an improvement on its predecessor. rather than a ££ making scheme like the iphones.
