Just to update ....I put all my smoking paraphernalia out of sight as soon as my Riva kit arrived and I'm now 2 weeks, 4 days without my rollies.  I have been smoking for 35 years and knew that vaping and smoking wouldn't have worked for me. So, I had to stop smoking completely and my family and friends are amazed. I can't balance the Riva on my bottom lip, (that post did make me laugh) ...but I'm sucking on my Riva like a dummy,  it's always in my mouth and I'm wearing the gold banding away. The main thing is that I'm still off the rollies.  so I think I'll up the nicotine level from medium to a higher one. Thanks again to everyone for their comments - I have really appreciated them and found them invaluable and have re-read them many times for encouragement. It's great to see how friendly and helpful everyone is here to newbies, so Well Done to everyone, what a lovely bunch of people here.. |

Thanks to all for the lovely, warm welcome and great advice. I have just placed an order with Freedomvape. I went for the Riva 510 starter kit, Boge cartomisers (these were Standard?) Whistle drip tip plus some Golden Virginia, RY4 and some Caramel. I couldn't resist the Caramel after reading through the posts here. :-)
I will be reading through Tizerbelle's advice to dmarks on what to do when my goodies arrive. :-) :-)

Hello Everyone,
Another newbie here looking for some advice. Wonderful, informative site! I've been reading through the very helpful threads for days and decided the Ego/Riva Starter Kit would probably be the best for me.
I know the Riva 510 or similar would be better performance, but psychologically, I find myself continuously drawn to the familiar, look-a-like analogue e-cig type, but understand the battery life aren't very good on them. Dilemma... perhaps, I would be better off buying the two!
Also as I'm a long term rollie smoker, approx 20 a day would e-juice Golden Viriginia 12-18mg be sufficient? Also, the 3 choices are PG, VG/PG 60/40 and VG.
Is VG an alternative to PG if one is allergic to it, or is it for the vapour? Should I get both PG and VG and mix them 50/50 as I read somewhere?
Sorry for all the questions. :-)
