I thought i read it was in the year 2029, think i am drinking too much coffee It will be back, then. All it needs is a little nudge, out there in the cold dark reaches of the Solar System...

One unexpected bonus is the Vamo is much more accurate in voltage sensing than the LTs are. It accurately indicates 4.2V fully charged and drops out at 3.2V - I must admit I was getting a bit leary of it as it went down and was just about ready to pull the cell out when it locked on 'LO'. The LTs were cutting out at 3.6V, which I found a bit high. 3.2V is the absolute minimum I would personally take an 18650 LiCo cell to, in any case.

I'm guessing it's a Mk4 Mondeo? So probably not her indoors car But yes, auto's are all sorts of wrong Depends what's in front of the slushbox. I never had any problems loving the auto in proper old Jags. Anything over 3L was much better fun than anything under 2L. Mind you, I wasn't paying for the rebuilds

I only have one, got it a couple of three weeks ago now, but i get worried that one day i may need a backup, or there is part of me wants to try another out of curiosity (probably a case of more money than sense etc) Do people own more than one? Whats a decent one to keep as a backup? I have an Innokin VV tank system. I have thought of just buying another battery for that = £25 or for that money i could try something else maybe? Needing a backup is what started me on the slippery slope of Shiny Things. I had a pair of cheapy starter 510s, but got nervous about what would happen if one or both (or the charger) conked out, so bought into the Ego system (at that point I wasn't terribly sure about 510 compatibility) and was happy enough with those for a couple of months, then somebody was selling a LavaTube mk1, so I thought I'd give that a try - more batteries, another charger, etc. Followed by an LT mk1.5 and just lately by a Vamo. Nope, no worries about backups now. Thing is - all in all, over the course of the past year, even with buying bits and pieces, including all the supplies, it's still cost me a fiver a week, compared to 35/week smoking.

I bought a pair of Ego 900mAh batteries last April and they're still going strong. There are a lot of sub-standard ones around though, so it pays to only buy from a decent supplier. In use, for all-day vaping, with a 2.8 or 2.4ohm carto, they would each last 8 to 10 hours, depending on how heavily I was using them. I found the Ego/carto setup was much more economical on juice and battery life than the LavaTubes with tanks. I still use the Ego/cartos as a carry-around setup, as it's more portable, so still know if they're retaining a charge as they should. I won't be at all surprised if they turn their toes up when a couple of years old, but nothing lasts forever.

If the airline is feeling vindictive, the family could be sued for all the costs involved. That gets expensive, rapidly.

Just got my Lavatube today and have some Torchy FT 18650 2800mAh protected batteries and some Panosonic NCR 18650 MH12210 protected batteries. None of these fit. ??? Can someone help me find a good battery that will fit. Also dose it have to be protected? Many thanks The LTs use an unprotected battery because the LT has its own protection built in. I see there's more FUD being spread about the use of unprotected batteries - they are fine if used in a protected device and even if you look into the cheapy so-called 'protected' batteries, it would give you pause for thought. Many of the cheap protected ones aren't worth a light. I'd rather stick with a good quality unprotected one and a decent protection circuit in the device.

No trumping issues here, but then I'm a ladyee. You want to be careful with that.

Just got a used one today - it's even better than the Lava Tube 1.5 and what makes it better is the ability to just set it at a chosen wattage and it just does it. It's releasing more vapour and flavour from a mix I had in a Vivi Nova than the LT was doing. Excellent bit of kit.

OK Farzooks, I've tweaked some of the colours & borders. Have you got your profile setting as visual or BBCode? If BBCode, change it to visual. Aha; that's much clearer - in Visual it's now obvious where to type and in BBCode it's simple and plain anyway, with conventional text flags. Thanks, Chrissie.

Farzooks, I've used almost the same colours on the default theme as I used on the old version default theme, so I'm puzzled ??? I'm also unsure what you mean by no proper editing box ??? As I've just done here - click on 'quote' in a post and no editing box appears, just a plain green continuation of the post I'm replying to, with no delineation of the area where the reply should go. As it turns out, the entire post is now editable, but there's nothing to show that.

This one does 0-100 in under three: 115kg? Just joking, but it's a sobering thought that four years ago I would have had those scales past the far end.
