It did indeed work and I followed your advice to the letter using 1.0 ohm AI pre coil. I set the coil a bit too high on the first go and coil shorted to inner funnel when tank screwed on. Unscrewed and pushed coil down lightly and got a 0.75 ohm reading from the MOD (istick 60W). Juiced and go.

Have now gone through 3 tanks (10ml) with no leaks, no snap, crackle and booms. No dry hits.

Did not push the cotton around to get light through holes as recommended everywhere. The two holes are fairly well stuffed with cotton. I guess it'll remain leakless until the cotton shrivels or moves

Interesting chykensa that you are expressing pain from this RBA business. I am new to it and had 3 shots at coil/wicking in two weeks. I am at the point where I'm flooding it and think thats because I have not wicked at sufficient density. Holes nicely stuffed as far as I can tell (butterfly look). 2 of the last have performed well but within 4 hours its gurgle and kettling (big pops)....again.

I'll gradually increment the wick sizing till I block it perhaps? Getting used to springy cotton is something I didn't expect.

Attempting OCC vertical coil builds at the same time.

Specific packaging requirements for shipment should include the following:
• Requiring that cells or batteries be separated to prevent short circuits
• Requiring “strong outer packaging” or UN specification packaging
• Limits on the numbers of cells or batteries placed in a single package
• Specific labels for outer packages
• Hazardous material shipping training for employees engaged in packaging cells or batteries for
transport

Lithium-ion battery reliability and safety is generally considered a function of the entirety of the cell, pack, system design, and manufacture, dependent on a robust quality process and benchmarked to international standards.


To undertake the above is quite a challenge. All batteries for despatch would need examination before loading by the look of it to be adequately confident. Think production needs to be in user countries to eliminate any hazard realisation to aircraft. Or they go by sea and are stored? Prices are going to rise a lot I'd say.
