never saw that one decoy . We want to protect a Merc C63 AMG, but don't want to go anywhere near Merc or related. Thx I forgot depending on model they can be motion activated as well which is handy when your away from the car as most of these things have a built in batt the neatest and easiest way to wire them up is hardwired off the interior light (norm only work when ignition is on) as there is norm only about 3 inch of wire on show if you don't want to fit it yourself you could try ringing vision techniques in Blackburn as they do fit nation wide and do a good job but they aint cheap I have fitted a Mobius heli cam to my wifes Focus which I can configure for motion detection. When it wasn't configured for that I left it on in the car for 2 days and it took the car batt down. We'll fix it somehow...the internal batt and temperature is the one thats a bother. The Fords camera has a high capacity slab capacitor in it instead of a battery and largely to keep the realtime clock going. No GPS or G sensor though.

used to fit the roadhawk,s a lot for a place I used to work at they are very good for none fault accidents and of course not plugged in when its a fault accident lol the best ones have 2 camras built in ,one built in to the front and one built in to the rear(the rear one will then record the passenger aria and show most of whats going on outside the car) gps is also a good option to have as it shows speed, time and location g sensors are handy as they show how hard you were hit hope that helps never saw that one decoy. We want to protect a Merc C63 AMG, but don't want to go anywhere near Merc or related. Thx

I got hold of the BMW TIS and its electronic parts manual (EPK?) about 1980 in the USA which related to my 97 520i..in some ways. The 520i was not sold in the US for obvious reasons, but the TIS did list 520i stuff that the local agent recognised. EuroCarParts suddenly got my business.
It was the notifications to agents USA wide on TIS/EPK updates that was interesting...particularly one. Stop condemning customer Cat Converters because on return to BMW central they are not faulty. Fortunately for me mine went 15 years without a threat.

Its not like the days of my 3 VW's. Engines out in 20 mins - rust galore. I thought I was going to not mess with cars after about 1973 when suddenly a German VW garage screwed up a rear wheel drive shaft repair. And VW Croydon suddenly forgot how to fit a steering swivel pin..almost jammed the steering and that was VW HQ UK.
Onto BMW and had to disappoint two agents. But those cars had a solid forum following in the USA. Thats not the places where, like Ford forums, a full scale argument breaks out and wrecks the thread. BMW have difficulty using their engine diagnostic machines I found, you need to get their results and tell them whats wrong, or without their expensive results.
Ford and the prices of their EU sourced spares...jeeeez! Don't know how people pay this stuff or happily pay it?
My sons just got a C63 Merc AMG (noisy sh8t), so just waiting for that pantomime to arrive...tools polished and waiting.

I am going to fit some front and rear, they are great and will support any insurance claim. They can also provide a youtube income if your lucky or should that be unlucky What you going to fit yahoo2u2I was going to fit a rear camera....suddenly got fed up with it as an incident on the M6 showed that I needed to swivel a camera. I did swivel the camera and it pulled the power supply plug out. I didn't have a battery in the camera cos of the sun heat problem. Think I need a camera on my head really? Still thinking on it all.

I am using a Mobius camera which has its origins with the model heli flyers. I have no commercial links to Mobius www.mobius-actioncam.com/Mobius is pretty good (£45 @ max 1080p) if you like messing with them and they have very good support in forums and configuration/firmware. They are extremely useful ...if you remember to have them switched on! Out of interest what do people use and what would be the PROs and CONs of their investment? For instance has anybody experienced battery overheat with a camera mounted on a w/screen in the sunny days?

i placed 2 orders 5th and 7th feb... neither been shipped yet, still show as "order received" yep...I did similar on 4 orders and 2 are a jumble of stuff. 2 have shipped in the last 7 days and the others are likely in stock queues waiting for...er...local stock deliveries? And I went Free Ship which likely puts me at the end anything to be done. I would expect mid March for completion/delivery of my orders. Add UK HMRC at any time!

Its bloody weird... some of this rash stuff. I have seen 3 odd events in 50 years.
1. Child with eczema, so all the old wives stuff was applied including urine - quite some years of it. Apparently the end of it came with not eating eggs. Could be age though?
2. I came home from work (UK) one day and for the next 3 days I was partly covered in red itchy skin..almost a Neapolitan effect. Went to doctor too late so he hadn't a clue. I put it down to a stray cat found in our offices over 2 or 3 days? Fleas and stuff.
3 My wife had an slight cut on lower leg and I think from scratching (sharp finger blades?). I applied Savlon (standard action) and boom ...very big rash for over 2 weeks. Went to chemist (Indian woman) and she said its far more dangerous (infections etc) here in the UK than where we had been in the M. East for 10 years. That was an intolerance to a Savlon component which surprised me.
Its that business of shopkeepers handling money that always sits in the back of my mind. And whats on public transport seats...some amazing awful substances actually!
I think it is a slow process of elimination with this game..as boring as that can be?

I live next to the Severn Railway...thats seriously busy retro steam! www.svr.co.uk/They used to bring the blood and custard carriages/engines in by road some years back...some road corners were pretty scary. British Railways’ use of Crimson Lake and Cream (CLC) for its passenger carrying stock and the locomotives that hauled that stock; a colour combination quickly nicknamed ‘Blood and Custard’ livery. For many, ‘Blood and Custard’ was a fine combination of colours and was particularly suited to the new Mk1 stock. Apt for a vape flavour?

This is a good place to be, with friendly people without doubt. It certainly is helpful where going down the pub isn't what it once was. Apart from the price of a pint the one thing that I noticed was the appearance of the billiard table too close to those who have no interest in it...then the huge TV. Darts to me was the limit and I think enjoyable to most... no wounds to show for it either? In the Middle East our best player was the then Minister of Justice (Oman). Any time he was in UK he'd have to go to a nearby pub for a game or 10 (add Black Label).
In the air force (60's) I worked on a number of well out of the way ground transmitters. About 200 yards away in one very small village not far from Eastbourne was a little old pub (literal swift half). Night shift had its uses...we could have been seriously done for that!
Anyway, this is the kinda of place that well waters down the emissions of the BBC...and the like.
Tony Blackburn?
