I fixed/soldered 5 mtrs of cool white LED strip (gel 5050) into 4 foot IP65 battens. Garage sorted and if any part of that strip fails I can solder a piece of strip back in. Plus the strip is affixed to the metal reflector of the batten. I am now running another 2 battens off my solar panel system on garage roof. Not too good for kitchens though..ok in utils room as well.
I did that because everything being sold out there is largely expensive cr*p...from China.

ArcturionLikely I got the "at"/ "@" thing wrong as well. @ works on other names.

The largest instrument screwdriver in the jewelers set fits well Arcturion . Its not Torx on my 30W unless I need to goto Specsavers...again. However, when I took mine apart I found the screws had been seriously over tightened. Its the same bloke going from place to place in China I'm sure? I should report that my iStick 30W is a fake, so the screws are likely different...and other stuff. A pic of the screw and screwhead might be useful?

Hi peeps I'm not sure if anyone can direct me to where on line I need to look. I have one one of these www.fasttech.com/products/3032/10012619/2232102 - I have dropped it and it and lost one of the teeny screws I am am trying to find out the size of the screw and where I can buy one (and a screwdriver to fit it lol). Can anyone help please Thats a job and a half loobie. Have you not got a magnet that you can push around the area where it fell? I know they jump off to weird places. I have taken an iStick 30W apart recently and those screws I think are this: Pozi drive pan head self tapper screws and the are about 1.5 mm thick and about 5 mm long. It needs a screwdriver that comes in an instrument screwdriver set aka jewellers screwdrivers. www.wilko.com/all-hand-tools/wilko-precision-screwdriver-set-6-piece/invt/0209196I doubt you can buy such screws so would rely on someone with some old dismantled stuff..excess junk? Sorry cannot help further

I smoked a pipe for best part of 40 years. I note now that I slowly transferred from smoking smelly tow rope (Condor) thru a Whiskey blend and onto Dutch tobacco (Clan). So I moved from harsh to sweeter which has made it dead easy for me to move to sweet-ish type vaping. And of course the huge drop in outlay which was mainly arched against a wall for me!
I am getting some Hangsen RY4 flaovour but I reckon I'll bin that almost immediately. Stuff I had from T. Wicked was cr*p.

Well decided to go for another I stick 30w after all your kind advise. My old one is nearly a year old now and still going strong. Might as well stay with what works! Sorry about this: I mentioned further up that my iStick 30W was of the no problem variety. 3 days later it suddenly stopped. OLED on and showing empty battery and what appeared to be a dodgy USB socket (port). Dismantled it and battery good. Its not possible to test the electronics because its double sided boards and a soldering iron would destroy it ...even temp controlled. I note a P Channel MOSFET on there though..without a heat sink? It does direct power handling to the atty coils. TBH I think its a fake, but a very good quality one with packaging. The clue came from its verification code which was not valid on the iStick site. Dunno? I note in comparison with dismantlers shown on Youtube that my control board has a large heat sink missing on that MOSFET. And so does the replacement board on FT which is called "Style" I think? Fortunately for me I had an iStick 60W turn up just before this outage. Allegedly Authentic.

I've had a istick 30W for a month (non TC)..can't fault it and easily held in hand. Battery is not easily interchangeable though, so my soldering iron is on standby. Also, got the TC 60W which is fairly big and battery can be swapped in/out easily. I won't be using TC much.
As regards batteries, I use this stuff on USB pass thru when possible to extend battery life. Battery life can be a bit of a gamble...my AA and AAA batteries last a couple of years but I have had eGo battery sticks die within 6 months.

Am glad in a way I didn't accept a job there...I was worried about the French effect then (80's).
What an earth is with these people?

I think the problem is wider. These are our old local papers and of late I have not read them much, too easy to skim online. They are delivered to the door regularly...totally free. They are now in the hands of VI's from the USA. I think the print versions have to be sponsored to some extent by local traders, so at their expense these junk articles are being inserted. Thats propaganda I'm sure?
Too many external VI's are influencing this country. The use of language in the article is bad and very threatening.

Is Dudley news in Dudley, West Midlands? Strike a light - there must be millions of children born to smokers here (black country) since the 16th century. Telling them not to vape when pregnant is a poor effort and will undoubtedly convince many that smoking is no worse. These muppets (the newspaper) are so stupid, they don't know the damage they are doing. Go to Dudley (I do, sometimes) and ask the smokers what they think about Vaping and most will tell you it's worse than tobacco. So - thanks Dudley news. Well done in continuing to convince your readership they may as well stay on the tabs. Its UK wide local papers that was and is Newquest...but: Newsquest was formed in January 1996 in order to effect a management buy-out of Reed Regional Newspapers (RRN). The successful bid was backed by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co (KKR), a US private equity partnership. Its American junk!
