I'd still be on my way in lol Took me just over 2 hours in each direction Glen, pavements are just as difficult to navigate as the roads! I thought I was reasonably fit with all the walking I do . . . . but crikey, I ache now!! Not me Neil, but with the volume of snow Gill has - it might have affected her internet connection. ( ETA: Gill was online about an hour ago thebishman.  ) Ah ok hopefully she ok. I really thought she was joking saying 5ft of snow! |

Excellent mate. How did it go?? This is a fun one at present.
I have not had the interview yet, Lincolnshire is shut still with the snow But, most of today has been spent scanning licences, criminal records checks, certificates etc etc I have been told the company are very interested So interested they have sent out the references letters today And if the interview had gone ahead on Wednesday, I would have been working Monday
I have been upskilling over the last couple of months. Paid for my own Emergency First Aid At Work training. So I am now a certified first aider. A qualification a lot of companies ask for when your a guard I'm also waiting on another certificate so I can get a cscs labourers card
The problem with the Job Centre putting people through the courses is you end up with a lot of people with the same level of qualifications chasing jobs. Hence my upskilling to stand out from the competition

Lee is the security work not working out mate?  I'm staying in security. Just changing from retail to static security The job interview today, would have been for a floating guard, doing fill in shifts at three locations. So plenty of variation in the type of work and surroundings Fun one to do.

I had a job interview booked today. Interviewer was driving over from Manchester to Lincolnshire and had to cancel  Lowest temp here since midnight is -7.6c Lee is the security work not working out mate? |

Well it was a fresh minus 5 degrees here this morning and a half hour journey into work took almost 2 hours but I had the office to myself as no one else in my department made it in Take care everyone - more wintry weather to come The van registered -8 degrees on the way to work this morning and it didnt feel like it warmed up all day! And agreed...be careful peeps. |

One very happy Belgium Shepherd dog  We found her, living in a bush, when we lived in Spain Really nice look dog mate. Wonder she thinks of the white stuff!? My pup was hilarious when we let him out for his morning wee yesterday lol |
