We were on a water meter a couple of years ago when there was just me and my mum living together and it saved us a lot of money as we were also quite frugal with what we used. We only had ensuite showers so no baths, my mum only drinks bottled sparkling water and we had no dishwasher etc plus with there only being the two of us there was very little washing up anyway and we only did a few washing machine loads a week. Now we've got my little brother (I say little, he's 20 but acts 12 lol) and he wears 3 sets of clothes a day, showers for 45 mins!! We have to to loads of extra washing etc so we are not on a meter anymore, it would cost us a fortune!

It's been pouring down here for almost 2 weeks with gale force winds. No hose pipe ban though. Where's spring? I think we had spring, and possibly summer lol back in those few nice days at the beginning of march!

Awwww do happy to hear they're doing well Jane Pea fishing is really fun lol I put rice krispies in the water for mine as well which they enjoy fishing for. Typhon has learnt that if he just sits in the water it's much easier to fish the food out lol but the others aren't so keen on swimming hehe. How much do they weigh? Personally I like to have a little, not too much (with the exception of fatty Orion) extra weight on my boys as when they do get poorly they can lose so much weight so quickly and having that little bit extra weight as a 'buffer' so to speak, could realistically be the difference between them surviving or passing away. My vet told me that Typhon was too fat and he only weighs 550g which is an average weight for a buck, plus it wasn't my usual exotics vet that I see most often and knows my boys so I just kind of nodded and agreed at the time and when I went back to see my usual vet, she said he wasn't fat

The wonders of medication. You take it to make you feel better and it gives you a horrible side effect - but you can have medication to counteract that side effect and that gives you another side effect ... The voice of experience, you're not alone Bee. My cousin has ME which he takes oramorph for and gets some not very nice side effects. Have you tried rice dishes like sweet and sour and curries? Food with onions in like quiches, anything with strong flavours? Your rebelling tastebuds could just be on temporary strike and having a sulk as they're still being affected through the lack of fags. xx (Edited to remove duplicated word word) Oramorph is vile stuff! When I have it I have to hold my nose while I take it and then have a drink straight after otherwise I'll throw it back up The problem with the food side of things is that I'm an extremely fussy eater I had to have a dietician for years as I ate very few foods and I still cannot stand vegetables, other than broccoli and carrots and cauliflower. I'm just really awkward lol I'm hoping my taste buds are just on temporary strike from not smoking but we will see

I understand this well beeratz. I have morphine too, but as it makes me sick I also get an anti-vomit pill to stick against my gumline. It seems to work for me. Do you have anything like that? I get scared to eat anything when I have to take the morphine, just in case I'm sick. Yeah I've got anti-sickness pills (ondansetron) apparently they're used during chemotherapy and are one of the strongest you can get They work ok for a couple of hours but then they wear off My doc recently gave me slow release morphine to see if that helped stop the sickness at all but nope! The doc thinks I might have a chemical sensitivity as I'm on a few other meds too and get bad side effects with them all but I can't not take them

Thanks Sandra people are really so lovely here Good idea queenie I'll have a google and see what I can find morphine is evil! It gives me terrible side effects but it's the only thing that helps with the pain so it's a double edged sword really

I'm having a rough few days I don't eat very much at the moment due to a long term disability which forces me to take morphine for pain relief and it makes me lose my appetite completely. That means that any food I do eat I want to enjoy but it looks like my tastebuds are throwing a wobbly and everything is just tasting so bland The only good thing is my ejuices still taste fine thank god! I'm not completely sure what the point of this post is lol I'm just feeling a bit down at the minute
