Converting the masses

Just been for lunch with a good friend who is a smoker. She asked how my e-cig was going as spoke to her when I first got it. Showed her all of my accesories and talked for a while about it. She seemed genuinly fascinated by it but really couldn't persuade her to try it.

She's recently married and says she's going to quit smoking soon (presumably to try for babies) but says she'll be fine going cold turkey.

Wondered how much success others have had converting people to vaping and what was the final straw that broke them?

6 coworkers and 2 friends in the bag, bit of a mix between saving money and genuinely wanting to quit the stinkies

All converted after they seen me using ego gear, now they see a provari and penelope i just get the rolleyes.. i will win

From my experience and from other people's posts on here I think the conversion ratio is very low unfortunately. Each of us recognised it was our time to stop smoking. If you come across someone who is at that point, they may well convert. But being evangelical doesn't work at all

I'm softening up two at the moment by dropping snippets of info & getting them to taste the juices I have in my travel kit

I had a colleague who spent ages on the odd occasions we were on training together asking me for information on ecigs, I emailed lots of stuff through to her including the addy of this group. I've not seen her for months, I saw her yesterday complete with her ecig and tank, she says she's been using it for 5 months and also got a friend to swap over successfully. Even though people may not be ready (it took me years to take ecigs seriously) it's good for them to have the information. Another couple who I meet at training have been on ecigs for over a year now and they were both very heavy smokers.

a couple me and missus are good friends with, came to visit my daughter recently and the first thing they asked was about the E-Cig not my daughter hah, I ended up lending my mate a charger battery v3 and a bottle of juice to go play with, not heard anything back yet, but they are getting married in Dec and I have a feeling going to go for kids straight after, so who knows maybe they will convert, but in all honesty I am not going to badger anyone into E-Cigs, mainly because I really hated people trying to get me to stop smoking >.<

I'm not so much interested in seeing if I can convert someone in a preachy health benefits way, more a selfish reason of wanting people to share the experience with! Said when I'd come round one evening with all my kit and juices and her and her hubby can try it all.

Was thinking maybe a business idea would be to do e-cig parties, like an Anne Summers party (but less naughty), where popele invite their smoker friends round, try out differnt e-cigs and can then place an order.

that's actually a really good idea, in all honesty when my friends asked me about the ecig, after i finished explaining they said you should go into business lol, I said if i had the money and the experience I would but i have neither ;-)

but the anne summers would be brilliant, you could do ecigs/rabbit type items ;-)

I don't meet many people i am a sad case,!!!!!!! BUT i got my Grandaughter and her Partner on to Vaping and yesterday was ther first day without a smelly for them, How good is that.

that's very good mate, the benefits are brilliant, I went out my cycle for the first time in 12 years did 3 miles, tired but loved it, that was last weekend

I had an interview today . . . and ended up spending most of the time talking to the two women conducting it, one a smoker, about ecigs and vaping.

Can't remember how we got onto the subject, but she had a toke on the couple I carry around, plus I gave her a note of a few Vendors websites to check out . . . blerdy brilliant interview it was.

Id pay good money to see anyone vape a rabbit, although those good ladies in Amsterdam... bloody magicians.
