I have both, the Provari is roughly the same size as my Lambo V4 with the extension cap fitted on the Provari, they are both less than a month old and the Lava tube's button is already sticking, i don't like it, you get what you pay for imo

why not look at the ZMAX?You get all be bells and whistles that the Provari has but add on VW and changing the mean/RMC settings for a lot less money. Its a bit like getting a top of the Range BMW against a Rolls Royce.

A Provari Mini is 88.4 mm by 22.9mm - with an extender that would take you to a standard Provari size (you can also get a non-Provari made extender that will fit an 18650 battery, that's made by Kir Fanis). With that you can have a mini and a standard depending on your needs.
Edited to add: the photo in my sig is with the extender

Thanks for this Andym. I have just looked at the review of this and I am impressed!!!! Especially with the VW feature. That would save me a lot of mucking about because at the moment I am using clearos, attys and tanks, although I do have a genesis on order.

While I could afford the Provari, especially since I have saved so much on not buying fags, having looked at the reviews of it and other similar PVs, I really do not see where it justifies its price.
Okay, it is built like a tank and will never wear out, but vaping and vaping equipment is changing and improving at such a rate, that within a year or so there will be new PVs on the market that will out perform anything that is here at the moment.
There are many old Rolls Royces still driving on Britains roads, but that doesn't mean that everybody wants one and really only eccentric enthusiasts are still driving them.
So perhaps I will wait and see what happens with Provaris over the coming year and for this christmas, look towards a similar but cheaper PV that will still introduce me to MODs but without going overboard. I am drawn towards the ZMAX V2.

The number of mods I've owned is now well into the 100's, all have been played with and I've enjoyed owning most of them but they have been moved on. Two have stayed with me and will continue to do so, my V2 full Provari and my Provari Mini are going nowhere.

Two have stayed with me and will continue to do so, my V2 full Provari and my Provari Mini are going nowhere. Interesting that you have stuck with the Provaris. I am just starting out on MODs and, at the moment, I have a variety of clearos, cartos, buds etc, all with different resistances and different wicking systems. The point that pulls me towards the ZMAX, apart from the price and the reviews, is this idea of being able to set the wattage I like and then forgetting about everything else. I test all my mixes firstly with the Buds as they are easier to clean out between flavours. Then once I have what I think is a good mix, I change over to a clearo and run that for a few weeks. Then if I am still happy with the mix, it goes into a tank. I just feel that if I can guarantee that the power setting will be the same no matter what top I have on, then I will get a truer comparison of taste between the mixes that I have compared to the taste I am trying to achieve. IE a shop bought juice. By the by, I worked out the other night that going on the mony I have saved by not smoking, less what I have spent on kits, juices etc, I could buy 25 Provaris and still have saved money.
