Mesh Measurement AGA-W

I have my aga-w wicked with 400 mesh and .20 kanthal it vape`s well but flavour is a little muted.

What measurement`s of mesh is best and is it better to leave a hole down the centre of the mesh wick or roll it tight with no hole ?

I`m re-wicking/re-coiling all my rebuild-ables as im going in for surgery on my hand on wednesday and dont know how long it will be out of action for.

So dont want to be left without spare wicks and coils

I currently have mine with 40x50 #500 mesh, rolled with a hole in the middle , and 4 wraps of .20 kanthal. Vapes fine this way.
