Hello,

I'm responding to todays subject of Electronic cigarettes, As a previous smoker of tobacco cigarettes for 30 years on and off, I'd like to confirm the efficacy of E-Cigarettes for me personally. I have been using the electronic cigarettes for the last 6 months as a tool to replace my addiction to tobacco products for health reasons, whilst at the same time using them to reduce my intake of nicotine at a slower and safer rate.

Since starting my use of e-cigarettes I have continually noticed improvements in my circulation, Breathing, senses of smell and taste, the amount of energy I have and much better sleep patterns. Coughing in the morning or anytime due to the tar in cigarettes has disappeared completely. Better skin, hair, teeth and generall well being have, and continue to improve almost daily.

It was after some research into Electronic Cigarettes through an online forum AAEC (All about E-Cigarettes) link provided here :- allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi I decided to give them a try after my failed attempts to quit smoking using regular Nicotine Replacement Therapies.

I understand that upcoming regulation is seeking to ban these products or at least reduce their effectiveness to next to useless by reducing the nicotine content. I am somewhat dismayed by the "Quit or Die" attitude of Eurocrats and will not consider the "Harm Reduction" or "Freedom of choice" arguments.

Current estimates put the amount of E-cigarette users at just under 1 million in the UK and millions worldwide. Banning of these products would effectively force the users back to Cigarettes and all the diseases caused by them. Tobacco Companies and Pharmaceutical companies both have vested interests in their own products naturally and loss of sales from cigarettes, NRT products and indeed all the drugs required to treat the conditions and cancers that Tobacco products cause.
