Hi everyone. I started trying to replace my usual 30 a day habit with e-cigs about a week ago - used those Nicolite lookalikes until today my new Kanger Twist starter kit (2 batteries, 2 atomisers, chargers for USB and mains, 5 x 5ml sample juices) arrived. I am now most definitely a convert! My first 2 flavours are Wingnuts Wibble and Honeywood, both 20mg. I'm finding that the Wibble needs a higher battery power than the Honeywood, but I'm enjoying both of them. Now for my questions:
What can I expect to feel over the next few weeks as I get used to vaping instead of smoking? Any withdrawals at all? I don't seem to be getting through much juice - started this morning and can barely see a difference in the level in the 'tank' (for want of whatever the technical term is). I'm finding I vape maybe 2 or 3 puffs every 5 mins or so when sitting at the computer - not sure I've really got the hang of this yet, but not having any desperate cravings to smoke, so I guess it's all good. The dry mouth - other than drinking shedloads of water, any way to prevent/combat this? Silly question, but I just need to be certain - there aren't any calories in these wonderfully chocolate-flavoured vapes, are there? I've seen the Stevia/Aspartame discussions, so I'm assuming not (and can't really see how I could be inhaling calories!), but having been on a diet for the past 7 months and lost a significant amount of weight, I really don't want to bugger it up. Told you it was a silly question! How often do you find you need to replace the mouthpiece part? Most posts I've seen seem to estimate once a week - would that be about right, and how do you know when it needs changing? When swapping from one flavour to another, do you wash out the tank (atomiser?) part, or would that get water down the middle bit? If you don't wash it, how do you transition from one flavour to another?
Thanks for any replies/answers - I'm really excited to be off cigarettes after many, many years, and want to make sure I stick with the vaping and don't make any stupid beginner errors!

Hello and Hi everyone. Now for my questions: What can I expect to feel over the next few weeks as I get used to vaping instead of smoking? Any withdrawals at all? Possibly; it's not just the nicotine that we get addicted to. As a 30 a day smoker I'd suggest if you do still feel the "crave" go up to 24mg juices. However the craving will be NOTHING like you'd get if you went cold turkey. You're a light vaper then, I chug on mine every few minutes. You're not smoking pick it up, take a puff put it down, it's a "on demand" thing. The averge Vaper gets through about 3 - 4 ml of liquid a day.The dry mouth - other than drinking shedloads of water, any way to prevent/combat this? I find chewing gum as well as drinking lots of water helpsSilly question, but I just need to be certain - there aren't any calories in these wonderfully chocolate-flavoured vapes, are there? I've seen the Stevia/Aspartame discussions, so I'm assuming not (and can't really see how I could be inhaling calories!), but having been on a diet for the past 7 months and lost a significant amount of weight, I really don't want to bugger it up. Told you it was a silly question! You need not worry about becoming a lardarse! there is next to no calories. How often do you find you need to replace the mouthpiece part? Most posts I've seen seem to estimate once a week - would that be about right, and how do you know when it needs changing? The vapor production falls off. You can extend the life of your clearomiser by washing it out every 2 - 3 days. When you feel more confident we can advise on more maintenance to extend the life even further but £5 every 2 weeks or so is much cheaper than stinkies! When swapping from one flavour to another, do you wash out the tank (atomiser?) part, or would that get water down the middle bit? If you don't wash it, how do you transition from one flavour to another? Just wash it out in warm water give it a shake and a blow through and you're good to go. Some dry theirs, I find this is not necessary for me. If you have a stubborn to move taste left a denture cleaning tablet can help (soak the clearomiser in some water with a tablet) Thanks for any replies/answers - I'm really excited to be off cigarettes after many, many years, and want to make sure I stick with the vaping and don't make any stupid beginner errors! Welcome to the WONDERFUL world of Vaping!

ONE last bit of advice - HAVE BACK UPS! keep a weeks supply of juice in stock and 2 Clearomisers, that way you'll not get caught short.

Hi darkginger I think you've already got some good answers there, I'll just add that I never really had any serious cravings. The first week was a little weird getting used to the not going outside and the whole no-combustion thing, but I've never looked back since. Good luck and congrats! 19_zps0468f8e0

Wow - hi all, and thanks Des for the answers! The Wibble (which I'm vaping as I type) is chocolate, but almost like a mocha coffee - it tastes like a café - hard to put your finger on - it's not a Dairy Milk sort of chocolate, more like having a bit of Bournville, taking a sip of espresso, then having a cig! I really like it - it's a 'dark brown' sort of taste, and is a nice alternative to the Honeywood that I was vaping this morning. I'm really pleased (though not terribly surprised) to find out that I shan't get fat vaping some of the sweeter flavours. I've been off sugar and sweeteners since last August, and so the idea of being able to taste chocolate, or indeed strawberry cheesecake etc. is rather wonderful. Anyone found a pizza or curry flavoured juice yet? Maybe freshly made bread too! I can dream! My husband is, sadly, still smoking, and in the house, too - so I'm getting wafts of smoke from time to time. It smells very odd now, totally different from when I was smoking. He's not at all interested in trying vaping, stubborn thing that he is, he won't even have a taste. I refuse to do the 'reformed smoker' thing and put any pressure on him, but it would be nice to get all the advantages of making the switch - no smells in house, no ashtrays, no ash etc. Maybe after I've stuck with this for a few months he may change his mind - I hope so anyway! Thanks again for the welcome - am sure I'll be back with loads more questions/comments etc. Just on a bit of a high today now I know this is really enjoyable and I'm not missing the cigs Woot!
